Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "PS R2 Aerowave - Road Cycling Shoes"
Maximum speed and comfort: the Fizik PS R2 Aerowave road cycling shoe
The desire to reduce weight and improve ventilation without sacrificing support and protection led Fizik's designers and engineers to develop a new material for the upper. It is an advanced fabric that weaves lightweight nylon fibers with thermoplastic polymer yarns.
This blend of yarns creates a material with an open, mesh-like pattern that is extremely airy, yet very durable and resilient. The Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave upper is so breathable that riders' socks show through. Aeroweave is a moldable material that moves to effectively relieve pressure on the foot, but its strength provides the support and support needed for a high-performance racing shoe.
While most traditional hook-and-loop closures simply pull two sides of the shoe's upper together, the Vento Powerstrap wraps around the foot to provide ultimate comfort and support with just two straps. The instep and midfoot areas are separately adjustable for a custom fit and compression. The straps have been optimized to make them even lighter and more durable.
The Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave also features an all-new outsole: the R2's specially designed carbon fiber outsole saves weight and increases stiffness. With an index of 10, the R2 is the stiffest outsole in the Fizik range. A wide vent and deep internal ventilation provide cooling airflow and contribute to temperature management. Cleats are positioned slightly further towards the heel than traditional to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce stress on the knee, especially beneficial in aggressive aero front positions.
