The revised X2 Flat outsole combines the stickiest Vibram XS Ride rubber compound with a special zoned lug pattern. The midfoot area has flatter lugs with a more regular shape to improve mechanical grip with the pedals; the pedal pins fit better into the grooves of the outsole and keep the shoe in place even on rougher trails.
