Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "BT Gravel Handlebar Tape"
This special bar tape for all gravel riders reduces pressure on the hands, feels good to the touch and provides a secure grip. The BT Gravel can can be wrapped to individual preferences – thinner/thicker or increased/decreased grip texture – as wrap positioning guide marks are incorporated into the bar tape surface pattern.
Highlights - Ergon BT Gravel Handlebar Tape
Reduces discomfort when riding gravelingA low, stretched riding position with a highly angled saddle, relatively hard contact points with localized pressure on the sensitive nerves of the hand and wrist often leads to pain when riding gravel. Ergon handlebar tapes reduce hand discomfort and nerve irritation. The variable thickness and special material structure with AirCell Foam damps vibrations and effectively distributes pressure on the hands.
Comfortable on any surface
With this 3.5 mm thick bar tape gravel riders benefit from the best vibration damping, extra grip and outstanding bar feel, yet the extra comfort is clearly noticeable. Increased control on the handlebars reduces hand and arm fatigue so you’re less tired on longer, technically demanding terrain. This handlebar tape simply feels good, increases fun and performance on any riding surface.
Under control at all times
The BT Gravel is not only the perfect connection between the hand and bike to the riding surface, the aggressive, block patterned surface texture of the handlebar tape is also extra slip-resistant, so the bike remains in control at all times and in all riding situations.
Three layers for the perfect grip - non-slip, lightweight, less hand pressure
Ergon handlebar tapes is made of three precisely developed material layers. The water-repellent non-slip surface (Anti-Slip Comfort Top), the lightweight foam (AirCell Foam) and the adhesive tape on the underside all resulting in a secure grip, lasting surface durability and excellent pressure distribution with light overall weight.
Individual find adjustment - integrated wrapping position marks makes it easy
With the incorporated wrapping position marks, the handlebar tape can be easily fine-tuned to your personal preference – wrap it a little thinner or a little thicker.
Two directions - more grip or more freedom of movment?
Dual directional surface. The wrapping direction determines your individual preference – for more grip or more freedom of movement.

At first I was a little scared about the longevity of the tape (just 250 km?), however merlot red convinced me to try. So far 1000km and no signs of wear (relieved). Thickness is nice for bikepacking. This was my first try at wrapping handlebars so hard to say something, but tape turned out a bit stiff and not the easiest to wrap. I guess, it is to be expected from thick tapes like this.

It's the best gravel tape ever! It’s soft and super grippy, making every ride feel fantastic! The handling is impressive, and I love how it feels on my bike. It might be a tad short for longer bars, but you can tighten it up more to make it work. Overall, it’s a delightful upgrade for any ride!

Good grip and comfort, but after 170 km starts delaminating
Average rating of 1 out of 5 stars
Also gut vermarktet.

After 250 km of driving, the handlebar tape began to delaminate and peel. Quality that you don't expect to get from Ergon and from a handlebar tape for 40 euros.
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Absolut fantastisch!
Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars
