Product information "Aspero GRX RX610"

The new Cervélo Áspero is built for those who want to ride gravel with maximum propulsion and style. The full carbon frame combines stiffness, lightness and comfort for long days in the saddle. The latest details such as a bolted bottom bracket, optimized cable routing and the UDH derailleur hanger ensure maximum ease of maintenance and compatibility. The Shimano GRX 820/610 2x12-speed groupset delivers precise and reliable shifting on any terrain - whether steep climbs or fast gravel descents, while the aluminum handlebars and aluminum seatpost ensure robust stability and a sporty, direct riding position, while the Alexrims GX7 aluminum wheelset delivers maximum durability and performance. Thanks to improved aerodynamics, increased tire clearance and finely tuned comfort, the new Áspero remains true to the original concept - only faster, more versatile and more efficient.

Technologies

The Áspero 5 carbon frame
The Aspero took the gravel world by storm in 2019 and ushered in a "new era of speed on gravel". For full-throttle riding fun without compromise. The new Aspero remains true to the original concept, but offers a few improvements: a bolted bottom bracket, cleaner cable routing and a UDH derailleur hanger so that SRAM's Transmission drivetrain can also be fitted. And it is even more aerodynamic. With the Aspero, aerodynamics are less about pure speed and more about saving energy. After a hard day in the headwind, the three watts saved over the previous Aspero can mean one less energy gel for your stomach to digest - IT'S WORTH IT.

As well as reducing drag, we've lowered the seat stays and slightly reduced the stiffness in the head tube area. For a little more comfort that makes the last hours of a long race less painful. We've also created a little more tire clearance between the lowered seat stays, using the knowledge gained from the R5-CX (and the mud battle at Unbound 2023). There are a lot of seemingly small improvements that add up to a lot. The result is a bike that feels like the original Áspero, but is even faster, more comfortable and more versatile.

T47 bottom bracket
In the Aspero, Cervelo uses the threaded, asymmetrical T47a bottom bracket that was introduced on the R5-CX. It combines the advantages of BBRight with a more user-friendly, easy-to-maintain design.

Universal derailleur hanger UDH
The new Aspero uses the universal UDH derailleur hanger from SRAM. It is necessary if you want to equip your bike for full party mode with a new SRAM Transmission drivetrain and ensures compatibility with future developments.

Easily customizable front end
The Aspero has the same headset design as the R5, Soloist, R5-CX and Caledonia. This means that you can use any combination of headset caps and stems. Want a super-clean, fully integrated look? Then get the ST31 and the HB13 from the R5.
