AERO FORK
The clearance between the fork and the tyre is generous, allowing air to flow freely without creating pressure zones and absorbing road vibrations. This results in a maximum tyre clearance of up to 32 mm.
KAMM TAIL SHAPES
Kamm-tail shapes in the tube sections make the RS1 an aerodynamically efficient bike. The aerodynamic design ensures that airflow is unimpeded by pressure zones that would compromise speed or the effectiveness of the watts applied. Every detail has been optimised to deliver high performance with every pedal stroke.
PERFORMANCE CARBON LAYUP
The Hollow Core Internal Moulding technique used in the frame construction utilises internal hollowing and high pressure to achieve high material compaction, whilst eliminating bubbles and irregularities in the carbon caused by uneven pressure. In addition, a Performance Carbon Layup is used, which optimises the bike’s weight-to-stiffness ratio.
STIFFNESS AND RESPONSE
On the RS1, the bottom bracket shell has been widened to 86 mm to maximise stiffness. The frame tubes are optimised for maximum stiffness whilst minimising material usage. The short chainstays are a key element in delivering agility and responsiveness.
