Thanks to the fully removable lid, the bike can be stowed away with ease. Inside, multiple layers of foam, spacers and a self-tensioning strap system ensure that the frame and components remain securely in place and are optimally protected against impacts.

Der Koffer ist mit 12 Kg relativ leicht gebaut. Dadurch ist der Koffer nicht ganz so stabil, aber das niedrige Gewicht hat einen wichtigen Vorteil: Einige Airlines verlangen bei einem Gewicht von mehr als 23 Kg hohe Preiszuschläge! Darum sollte der Koffer mit Fahrrad weniger als 23 Kg wiegen. Mein Rennrad wiegt mit Pedalen ungefähr 9 Kilogramm. So komme ich auf ein Gesamtgewicht von etwa 21 Kilogramm. Ich habe zusätzlich noch Sportschuhe, Sandalen, Werkzeug und Haarföhn in den Koffer gelegt, und war dann bei 22.8 Kg. :) Bei einem Gesamtgewicht von 23 Kilogramm kann man den Koffer noch ganz gut tragen. Das ist beim Transport in Auto oder Zug praktisch. Man kann den Koffer an den Laschen sehr gut greifen, und kann den Koffer bei Bedarf auch Treppen hinuntertragen. Der Koffer lässt sich auf den Rollen sehr angenehm schieben. Man schiebt ihn dabei einfach neben sich her, und lässt alle Rollen auf dem Boden. Ich bin so 1.5 Kilometer durch die Stadt zum Bahnhof gelaufen. Alles kein Problem, und die Rollen sind robust. Meine erste Flugreise hat der Koffer ohne Probleme überstanden. Mann muss wohl darauf achten, dass die ganzen Gurte möglichst dicht geschlossen sind, damit sich die Schale nicht öffnen kann. Ursprünglich wollte ich mir die "Elite Bike Box Vaison" kaufen. Das ist definitiv ein sehr hochwertiger und robuster Koffer. Allerdings ist dieser Koffer mit 18 Kilogramm relativ schwer (ohne Fahrrad), und ist aufgrund seiner Größe nicht so leicht zu transportieren. Mit Fahrrad kommt man bei solchen Koffern sofort über 23 Kilogramm, und dann muss man bei einigen Airlines hohe Preiszuschläge bezahlen! Mein Rennrad hat die Rahmengröße 56. Es passt damit noch gut in den Koffer. Ich denke, dass dieser Koffer besonders für leichtere Fahrräder geeignet ist. Durch das geringe Gewicht und die geringen Abmessungen ist die "Bike box II" besonders gut für den Transport geeignet. Für schwere und große Fahrräder sollte man vielleicht besser einen robusteren und größeren Koffer
I love this box. I will go as far and say that one should save on his gear and invest in this box. Let me tell you why,. with this box I got to do one of the most amazing adventures in my life. I took my bike in the box on the plane all the way to the east coast of Egypt to cycle in this region. Without this box I would never be able to this given that it's impossible to find a place in this part of the world where you can rent a carbon road bike. Not only this but also the box had so much extra space and weight left that I could put some nice dates and Egyptian dessert and different sorts of herbal tea next to my bike. From my experience the extra stuff you put in the box could actually further protect your frame specially if they are soft packages. BTW, I had to pay 60X2 euros to take my box on the plane but given the fact that the ticket itself was cheap, I was not too sad about it. Also given that I used the box to store some extra items, it was really worth it. I travelled with the box to Amsterdam with FlixBus and it only costs extra 8X2 euros so not too much. Moreover, I am planning additional trips with this nice box to Finland and Mexico to do more cycling adventures around the world. Great product, Thanks for selling it for this really good price. PS: I have so many nice photos of the box in Egypt, Brussels Airport, Amsterdam... I wish I could add those photos here in my review but I don't see this option unfortunately.
Хороший чемодан. Проблем не возникало. Рама 59ого размера заходит с запасом. Летал уже с десяток раз (правда только Турецкими авиалиниями). никаких повреждений. Помимо велосипеда влезет много других вещей, которые помогут повысить соранность велосипеда. не забудьте вставить проставки между тормозных колодок дисковых тормозов!
Чемодан весьма легкий и удобный для различных перевозок байка! Вез на поезде из Таллина одновременно два чемодана с шоссейниками (в СВ), потом летал в Хельсинки и обратно (сдавали в багаж) - никаких проблем! При укладки велосипеда (при желании), раму, крылья и перья можно обложить трубками из пенополистирола, при этом остается достаточно места для различных вело-аксессуаров или одежды. Рекомендую всем вело-путешественникам!
