Q-Lite
For ALPINA, the ability to see sharp contrasts is a fundamental feature of sports glasses. That’s why we’ve developed Q-Lite technology, which enhances contrast, making it easier to see contrasts on the trail and on the road, making colors appear richer and ensuring sharper vision. This allows the eyes to remain focused for longer, reduces eye strain and enhances performance at crucial moments.
FOGSTOP
Fogstop is a coating applied to the inside of the lenses. The coating is not smooth but rough – at a microscopic level, it is even ‘cracked’. This prevents droplets from forming a continuous layer, i.e. from causing the lenses to fog up and thus obscuring your vision. This would only happen if the moisture managed to fill the fissures with water. However, before this happens, the deposited moisture has long since condensed and vision remains clear.
HYDROPHOBIC
Hydrophobic is a moisture-repellent nanostructure on the lens that causes water to bead up and roll off. This also helps to remove dirt. As a result, the lens is not only clean but also dries more quickly.
MIRROR
Mirror is a lens onto which several mirror coatings are applied. These protect against extreme glare and infrared light. Mirror is not only a feature of a highly functional lens, but also a style element.
2-COMP
The combination of a hard frame, soft, rubberised temple tips and nose pads enhances the comfort and fit of the glasses.
ADAPTABLE NOSEPAD
Cold-adjustable, rubberised nose pads allow for optimal adaptation to any nose width and shape. The rubber coating effectively prevents slipping and ensures the glasses sit securely.
QUATTROFLEX
The polarising filter in the Quattroflex lenses offers maximum functionality. It effectively eliminates reflections and glare, whilst significantly enhancing contrast. Quattroflex lenses are lighter in color than standard polarised lenses and are suitable for a wide range of activities, from water sports and golf to winter sports.
