Swiss precision meets German engineering - the TimeShifter from Abus
The focus is on robust aerodynamics across different head and arm positions as well as racing conditions. It is based on extensive CFD analyses, wind tunnel and velodrome tests as well as validation in the professional peloton. The development was carried out in close partnership with the aerodynamics specialist Swiss Side and with the involvement of WorldTour athletes. The aim was to create a helmet that not only delivers reproducible advantages under ideal conditions, but also in real racing situations. The TimeShifter represents a new generation of time trial helmets: scientifically sound, developed on the basis of data and consistently transparent in its performance communication.

- Plait opening: thanks to the cut-out in the height-adjustable adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns or plaits
- Cooling airflow system: the ventilation openings are connected to each other via channels on the inside to channel incoming air through the helmet and thus ensure maximum air circulation and a pleasant head climate
- Magnetic visor: visor attached by magnets to protect the eyes from wind, rain and insects - easily removable and replaceable
- Zoom™ Spin adjustment system: rotating wheel at the back of the head for customised adjustment of the helmet to the head circumference
- Slide Divider™: for individual adjustment of the straps by sliding the strap divider - minimalist and functional
- Comfort padding: soft padding inserts for optimum comfort, attached to the helmet with Velcro
- Removable, washable padding: can be removed and washed by hand or replaced if necessary
- Magnetic fastener : the straps are fitted with a high-quality, magnetic FIDLOCK fastener to enable one-handed opening of the chin fastener even when wearing gloves
- In-mould process: Production process in which the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC) - this creates a durable and robust connection
