Product information "RoadLink"
It is an ideal solution for riders looking to convert their road, gravel, cyclocross, or commuter drivetrain bike to attain the simplicity and reduced weight of a single front chainring but without giving up the gear range of a double. It is also great for riders with double chainring bikes that want lower gearing for those ultra steep climbs. It does not compromise the shifting in the smaller cogs of the cassette but yet it enables the derailleur to work with as large as a 40T cassette.
Features - Wolf Tooth Components RoadLink™
- Precision engineered derailleur hanger extension for use with MTB cassettes on road bikes
- Low weight with maximum gear width
- Can also be used for 2-speed chainrings
- Mounting on the derailleur hanger
Product features
- Application: road bike, cyclocross, gravel, trekking
- Torque: 8-10Nm
Compatibility
- 10-speed and 11-speed cassette
- 10-32: Not Required (GS medium cage rear derailleur works)
- 11-34: Single (for double chainring be sure to not exceed the derailleur's capacity)
- 11-36: Single (for double chainring be sure to not exceed the derailleur's capacity)
- 11-40: Single (for double chainring be sure to not exceed the derailleur's capacity)
- 11-42: Not supported
- 10-42: Not supported
- Double chainrings are only supported with GS (medium cage) rear derailleurs. You may need to change the front gearing so the rear derailleurs capacity is not exceeded.
- The RoadLink™ is optimized for the 10- and 11-speed Shimano road derailleur geometry. It also works very well with 9-speed road derailleurs. Traditional SRAM derailleurs work but not the 1x specific X-HORIZON rear derailleurs. Campa derailleurs work best with cassettes up to 11-36.
- Triple chainrings are not supported (medium cage rear derailleurs cannot accommodate that big of a range).
- The RoadLink™ mounts only to standard derailleur hangers.
- Direct Mount-native frames are not supported.
- Due to variations in derailleur hanger geometry, chainstay length, chainring size, B-screw adjustment, and suspension configuration, individual results will vary.
- This 7.9mm max dimension is controlled by the Shimano spec, but a few derailleur hangers don’t meet the spec. You can file a bit of the bottom "tang" of those derailleur hangers to install the RoadLink™.

Montiert mit Dura Ace 9000 Schaltwerk. Vorne 48/33 und hinten 11-36 funktioniert perfekt.
Geniales Teil! Konnte damit mein kurzes Sram Force 10fach-Schaltwerk für max. 28 Zähne so aufrüsten, dass ich nun Kassetten bis mind. 32 fahren kann. Schaltet wie immer, musste nur ein bisschen nachjustieren.
This is an absolutely excellent piece of gear! I bought it to allow an eight speed Shimano Claris rear derailleur to operate up to a 38 teeth sprocket. The bike has a double 48 and 32 front. With an 11-38 Microshift cassette this meets exactly the maximum gear range/ capacity of the Claris rear derailleur. Fitting the Road Link was very easy. In my case it even was not necessary to adjust derailleur settings. One thing to keep in mind is, that the standard chain length may not be sufficient. In my case I needed the maximum chain length with the connecting chain link.
