Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Kuro Rain - Women's Rain Trousers"
Well protected against any weather capriole on the bike: the Kuro cycling rain trousers for women have been specially developed for bad weather tours on gravel bikes and road bikes. Thanks to the Ceplex Pro membrane, they are waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable - if necessary, they can withstand a water column of at least 20,000 millimetres (JIS L 1092 B). In addition to the waterproof membrane, the outer fabric of the Kuro rain trousers is treated with Eco Finish to repel water and dirt.
VAUDE does not use fluorocarbons, so-called PFAS or PFC chemicals, which are suspected of being harmful to health. The elasticated material of the trousers ensures optimum freedom of movement, even in different sitting positions, while the pre-shaped knee section and a close-cut lower leg ensure that the trousers fit snugly and do not flutter, even at high speeds. The Kuro rain trousers are also particularly hard-wearing. A diagonal zip from the ankle upwards makes them easy to put on and take off, even when wearing shoes. The reflective elements along the zip round off the package. The Kuro rain trousers can be ideally combined with the Kuro rain jacket for perfect all-round protection.

ECO FINISH
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly, water-repellent and manufactured without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used to impregnate the outer fabric of many outdoor products. They have been criticised because they are not biodegradable, accumulate in the body and are suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has made a clear commitment to completely avoid PFCs.
CEPLEX ACTIVE
Ceplex Active is a high-quality membrane or coating - permanently waterproof, breathable and windproof. It can withstand a water column of at least 10,000 mm (JIS L 1092 B). This membrane is 100 % PTFE-free.
STRETCH
The high elasticity of the material is achieved by the elastane content and the knitted and woven construction. This offers maximum freedom of movement.
