Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Kuro II - MTB Shoes"
The Kuro II Gravel cycling shoe is the right choice for all cyclists looking for a reliable shoe for various adventures - be it a long bike tour, a quick gravel tour or a weekend bikepacking trip. The basis for long-lasting comfort when pedalling is the last: it creates more space, especially in the forefoot area, and thus optimally accommodates the natural anatomy of the foot.
Comfortable bike shoe for bikepacking, cycle touring or gravel tours: the Kuro II MTB shoe from Vaude
Despite unlimited click system compatibility, the VAUDE off-road sole masters pretty much every "on-foot" situation, from supermarket stops to carrying passages in rough terrain. Their relatively stiff construction (V-Flow 6 out of 8) ensures an optimal compromise between fit and power transmission. The system is supported by the BOA fastener, which can be used to adjust the robust shaft to the foot. A circumferential mudguard provides additional protection against abrasion, while the breathable lining and numerous ventilation holes in the shaft offer a dry foot climate. All this makes the Kuro II Gravel cycling shoe a faithful companion on a wide variety of bike adventures.

SPD
Bike shoes that are compatible with the SPD click system. Here you have the option of fitting an SPD click system in the recess of the sole. SPD is short for Shimano Pedaling Dynamics, a system from the manufacturer Shimano that is very popular. The recess is designed so that the click system can be recessed so that the pedal plate under the shoe does not interfere with your walking.
V-Flow stability index 6
The V-Flow value shows you the stability of the upper in combination with the midsole and outsole. V-Flow 6 are all-mountain cycling shoes for trails on grippy natural ground or compacted gravel through to unstable ground and scree in alpine terrain. They offer you a perfect fit and protection with optimum power transmission.
