The gravel bike is the swiss knife of the bicycle indutry: whether on- or off-road, it is the perfect companion for anyone who prefers a bit more comfort.
This model combines the advantages of the well-known 611 ERGOWAVE® saddles (MTB) and 612 (Road): a waisted shape offers maximum legroom off-road, at the same time saddle has the the bit thicker padding of the 611 ERGOWAVE® model to provide maximum cushioning and comfort on rough off-road trails. The SQlab active technology offers additional comfort, especially on the gravel bike, by mobilizing the intervertebral discs. Additionally, a premium quality Kevlar material protects the saddle in its exposed areas.

- Unisex - With the SQlab step saddle concept and the SQlab saddle width system, different saddles for men and women are no longer necessary.
- Ergowave® - The new shape of the SQlab step saddle for a dynamic riding position on the MTB and roadbike. It provides an optimal pressure distribution within the pubic branches for even further increased performance and comfort.
- Saddle Widths - SQlab saddles are available in 5 different saddle widths. The correct saddle width is determined using the SQlab sit bone measurement method.
- Active-technology - The active-saddle construction allows movement of the pelvis in the horizontal plane, which increases comfort and relieves the spinal discs. The active-saddles are equipped with two to four active-sticks.
- MaxContact® - SQlab MaxContact saddle nose maximizes the contact area thereby reducing pressure.

Nachdem ich mit dem mitgelieferten Sattel meines Canyon Grails nach längeren Ausfahrten immer Tagelang Schmerzen am Hintern und beim Sitzen hatte, habe ich nach Ersatz gesucht und bin schlussendlich beim SQLab 614 gelandet. Er ist zwar teuer aber ich kann nun wirklich schmerzfrei fahren, und auch die Tage danach bleiben Schmerzfrei. Hatte den Sattel auch 14 Tage beim Bikepacking mit 120km/Tag und Arschrakete getestet, auch dort ein super komfortabler Sattel.Dadurch dass der Sattel recht flach ist sitze ich nun wirklich perfekt auf den Sitzknochen und nicht mehr auf dem Innenbogen. Kleine Stöße und Vibrationen werden auch gut gedämpft. Im Vergleich zum vorherigen Sattel waren das schon eine deutlich bessere Dämpfung. Trotzdem ist der Sattel schön straff. Die Stufe funktioniert auch gut, da rutsche ich kein bisschen. Das einzige was ich mir noch wünschen würde wäre eine nicht ganz so breite Nase. Er reibt bei mir nun nicht wirklich am Oberschenkel, nachdem ich ihn mehrfach in wirklich homöopathie kleinen Schritten in die richtige Position gedreht habe. Lässt sich natürlich alles einstellen, sehe aber bisher noch keinen klaren Vorteil der vergleichsweise etwas längeren Nase gegenüber den kürzeren Sätteln anderer Hersteller. Seit einem Jahr ist der Sattel nun ihm Einsatz und zeigt keinen Verschleiß und keine Schäden. Für mich hat sich der Kauf gelohnt, würde ihn mir wieder holen. Aber jeder Hintern ist anders, nur weil er mir passt muss er nicht jedem passen. Bisher habe ich jedoch von allen Seiten nur gutes über die Sättel von SQLab mitbekommen.
