Bosch Performance Line CX The Bosch Performance Line CX delivers a unique eMTB experience: compact, lightweight and with more power, it combines high-quality materials, an incredibly powerful drive unit and high-end sensor technology. This takes e-mountain biking on the trail to a whole new level. From the model year onwards, the Bosch Performance Line CX comes with torque of up to 85 Nm, new features in the motor control system and a further development of the eMTB mode – all as a software update. For a riding experience that inspires: more natural, more intuitive, more powerful and an absolute benchmark in this class.

What’s new with the Bosch Performance Line CX motor for the model year?

Performance upgrade and new features
A riding experience that sets new standards: the Performance Line CX delivers even more riding fun on the trail – with enhanced software and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The increased torque provides a boost in power that supports you even more powerfully, particularly at low cadences. In eMTB and Turbo modes, this results in noticeably faster acceleration and makes setting off on steep sections significantly easier. Thanks to a wider cadence range, unpredictable riding situations can be handled even more effectively – such as when shifting gears late or accelerating out of tight bends. When riding out of the saddle and in Turbo mode, the ride remains smooth and jerk-free.

eMTB mode taken to the next level
The progressive riding mode for every occasion: with the enhanced eMTB mode, you’re perfectly equipped for all riding situations on the trail. Thanks to new sensor and motor control features, the Performance Line CX now offers you an even more dynamic, natural and much wider range of assistance. You’ll also continue to benefit from the tried-and-tested technology of eMTB mode: depending on the pedal pressure, the progressive motor assistance adapts perfectly to the riding situation. The improved calibration of the eMTB mode ensures optimum traction control in all gears and facilitates a more organic riding experience (‘power on demand’). Acceleration is significantly smoother and more responsive, particularly in lower gears. Thanks to the increased torque, the drive unit supports an even wider cadence range.

Extended Boost
Extended Boost is the unrivalled feature for smoothly rolling over roots, steps and stones on the trail, even when climbing. This makes it much easier and more agile to manoeuvre the eMTB through technical sections. Thanks to its unique dynamics, obstacles can be overcome with ease by applying pressure to the pedal as the situation demands. The pedal hardly ever hits the ground. What’s more, this new, innovative feature can be optimally controlled in eMTB mode in all riding situations. Once the front wheel is already on top of the step, a light press on the pedal is enough to provide that crucial ‘kick’. This takes pedal management to a whole new level.

The new Bosch eMTB mode – specially designed for e-mountain bikers

For the ultimate uphill flow
For powerful e-biking on hills and over rough terrain: the eMTB mode on the Performance Line CX and Performance Line switches between Tour and Turbo riding modes. To help you maintain control of the bike even on challenging sections, the further-optimised eMTB mode supports e-mountain bikers with maximum responsiveness and progressive power delivery: with a maximum torque of up to 75 Nm on the Performance Line and 85 Nm on the Performance Line CX, and motor assistance ranging from 140% to 340%. Depending on pedal pressure, the motor dynamically boosts the rider’s own effort. The e-biker does not need to switch riding modes manually. Setting off on steep climbs is effortless, progressing along mountainous trails becomes noticeably easier, and the e-mountain biker benefits from significantly better traction. This ensures a natural riding experience and maximum performance on the trail.

Bosch PowerTube

Bosch batteries for electric bikes are efficient and long-lasting. They are renowned for their high range and long service life, and combine low weight with an ergonomic design. Thanks to the intelligent battery management system, Bosch’s high-quality lithium-ion batteries are among the most advanced on the market. This detects potential sources of faults and protects the cells from overloading.

Thanks to their compact size and minimalist design, Bosch PowerTubes blend seamlessly into the e-bike’s design. There are two ways in which the battery can be fitted: horizontally or vertically. Bosch PowerTubes are available in three different capacities: 400 Wh, 500 Wh and 625 Wh. The sophisticated technology of these lithium-ion batteries, which can be integrated into the frame, ensures carefree riding pleasure, whilst a safety mechanism prevents them from falling out, even on challenging terrain. The batteries can still be removed with ease.

Outstanding battery efficiency
To ensure maximum riding enjoyment, the lithium-ion PowerPacks have been proven to offer the highest energy density combined with the smallest size and lightest weight on the market.

Easy to store and quick to charge
The modern Bosch lithium-ion batteries are free from both memory effects and self-discharge. Depending on the charger and PowerPack, you can charge your battery to half capacity in around two hours.

Ergonomic handling
Removing the battery for charging at home is very straightforward. The PowerPacks can also be conveniently charged whilst still fitted to the bike.

No memory effect
Bosch batteries with lithium-ion cells can be charged for any short duration at any time, regardless of their charge level. Interrupting the charging process does not damage the batteries. It is not necessary to fully discharge them.

Very low self-discharge
Even after prolonged storage, e.g. over the winter, the battery can be used without needing to be recharged. Bosch batteries therefore do not need to be recharged after a long period of inactivity. For longer storage, a charge level of approx. 30 to 60 per cent is recommended.

Long service life
Bosch batteries are designed to last for many trips, kilometres and years of service. The intelligent, electronic Bosch Battery Management System (BMS) protects lithium-ion batteries against excessive operating temperatures, overloading and deep discharge.

	Bosch PowerTube 625 It doesn’t get any better than this: with the PowerTube 625, you can tackle long, mountainous rides and have plenty of power for every adventure. Thanks to a rated capacity of 17.4 Ah and an energy content of approx. 625 Wh, this lithium-ion battery puts maximum range and elevation gain within your reach. Securely fastened, the PowerTube 625 won’t come loose even on challenging terrain, yet it’s still easy to remove.
