Product information "Payroll Mips - MTB Helmet"

Whether on steep bends or flowing single trails: with the Payroll from Smith, you are safe and well protected on fast-paced routes on your enduro, all-round or e-mountain bike. The lightweight helmet is e-bike certified, which means that it has been tested for its protective effect at higher speeds than the usual certifications for MTB helmets.

The impact protection system with zone-based Koroyd® and Mips® gives you the confidence to concentrate fully on the trail. And to ensure the helmet fits properly all day long, it can be individually adjusted with the VaporFit™ adjustment system. The Mips® layer is also perfectly integrated into the helmet. Generous ventilation openings combined with internal air channels ensure a cool head uphill and fog-free focus downhill. A three-way adjustable peak provides space for sunglasses or goggles when you're not pedaling or when the sun disappears on the horizon after an action-packed day.

Technologies

MIPS
The MIPS® Brain Protection System (BPS) is located inside the helmet, generally between the comfort padding and the EPS (a high-quality foam used to save energy). In certain impact situations, the MIPS® BPS can reduce the dangerous forces acting on the brain. MIPS® stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System.

KOROYD
Koroyd® offers superior shock absorption, design flexibility and ventilation compared to materials traditionally used in helmet construction. By using cylinders in the crumple zones that compress evenly upon impact, Koroyd® absorbs energy more efficiently and with less volume than any other protective material on the market. Unlike conventional protective materials, Koroyd® cylinders absorb and convert more kinetic energy, increase airflow and reduce overall weight. Not all helmets are the same.

VAPORFIT
The VaporFit™ system was made with ease of use and superior comfort in mind. It is based on a proven dial adjustment system integrated into a tuned elastic fit with engineered shapes. Each VaporFit™ system has 5 cm of rotational adjustability. Additionally, the system can be moved up/down or forward/backward at the attachment points. The end result is increased comfort through an individualized, secure fit.

AirEvac
Goggles fog up when standard helmets trap warm, moist air in the goggle chamber. Smith's AirEvac ventilation systems create maximum airflow and ensure that warm air that causes fogging flows out of the goggles. The warm air can escape from the top of the goggles and make its way through the helmet's AirEvac system.

GOGGLE INTEGRATION
Smith Performance goggles can be easily integrated into the center section of the helmet. The goggle temples are inserted into channels on the center/side of the helmet. This ensures that the goggles stay in place.

GOGGLE INTEGRATION
A channel on the back of the helmet that matches the correct position of the goggle strap ensures a comfortable fit of the Smith MTB goggles while riding. Most Smith MTB helmets have a visor that is adjustable to three positions and can be rotated upwards for easy goggle storage.
