What doesn’t get hit can’t get broken – the flat, wedge-shaped design of the new XTR rear derailleur prevents most stone chips and impacts on the trail. And should an impact do occur, the rear derailleur’s smooth outer coating allows it to slide off trail obstacles, thereby preventing catastrophic damage. The automatic Impact Recovery Function immediately returns the derailleur motor to its original position after an impact, whilst the wide linkage structure, durable carbon plate, sliding plate design and solid pulleys ensure robustness and durability.
