Shimano’s DEORE BL-M6200 hydraulic 2-finger brake lever has been designed with ergonomics and the human hand in mind, offering powerful braking with a consistent lever feel and modulation for ultimate control when combined with the 4-piston BR-M6220 brake caliper for the front wheel and the 2-piston BR-M6200 brake caliper for the rear wheel. The new DEORE brakes benefit directly from technologies derived from the XTR and DEORE XT groupsets. The result is smooth power delivery with high control and a consistent braking feel across a range of temperatures and trail conditions.

The DEORE BL-M6200 brake levers can be combined with both the high-performance BR-M6220 four-piston caliper and the lighter BR-M6200 two-piston caliper. New seals and a revised low-viscosity mineral oil ensure a consistent oil flow and a constant pressure point in both hot and cold conditions.
DEORE Brakes – The brake lever utilises SHIMANO’s SERVO WAVE technology, which ensures faster pad contact and a smooth, easily controllable build-up of braking force. In combination with the newly developed brake calipers, the system offers consistent piston return and reliable braking performance, even on long descents and in changing trail conditions.
