Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "BR-MT600 Post-Mount G05S-RX Brake Caliper "
The BR-MT600 hydraulic 2-piston brake caliper with Post-Mount standard is an evolution of Shimano’s previous lightweight Post-Mount brake caliper. It is designed for use with the BL-MT620 brake lever.
If weight is a major consideration, the BR-MT600 2-piston calipers, which are not integrated into a groupset, are the right choice. They offer the same consistent braking performance and excellent modulation as the BR-M6220 4-piston model, whilst being lighter. The MT600 features the same characteristics as the entire brake caliper product line and is designed to ensure consistent braking performance across a wide temperature range.
Features - Shimano BR-MT600 2-piston brake caliper
- Consistent braking control: The all-new low-viscosity mineral oil ensures a reliable and powerful performance curve at all temperatures and on any terrain
- Pure XC: Combine the BR-MT600 brake caliper with the BL-MT620 brake lever for the lightest XC brake in the SHIMANO range
- Clean cable routing: Combine the BR-MT600 brake caliper and the BL-MT620 lever for a tidy look and an ideal balance between braking power and weight
- No rattling: Redesigned brake pads and the oval mount eliminate unnecessary noise
- Option without groupset integration: The MT600 offers the same technology and features as the DEORE M6200 brake calipers, but has a different surface finish
