Technologies

Patented Integrated Suspension Technology
The Genius features patented integrated suspension technology. This means that the bike not only looks fantastic, but also has significantly improved suspension performance. First and foremost, Scott was able to develop the frame with a lower centre of gravity, resulting in better handling and a more stable, confident ride. The frame is also stiffer around the bottom bracket, which reduces unnecessary lateral movement in the direction of the shock's travel. Of course, the shock is also protected from dirt and the elements, two of the main enemies when it comes to shock performance.

External SAG indicator
Setting the sag and checking the travel has never been easier than with the new Genius. An external indicator on the link allows the rider to make adjustments with ease. Sag adjustment and determining how much travel he is riding with.

Integrated cable routing through the headset
The Genius has a revised Hixon cockpit from Syncros. Cable integration is a major challenge and the Hixon was developed in part to solve exactly this. The developers at Syncros have worked hard on the shape so that the cables run under the handlebars and around the sides of the stem before disappearing into the headset with integrated plastic parts. This makes for a tidy and efficient cockpit. The cables are not bent or kinked and the front looks minimalist. All our handlebars and stems offer multiple options for computer, light and camera mounts both on and under the handlebars.

Easy access to the shock
With the brand new Genius, accessing the patented integrated shocks is easier than ever. Simply press the button, remove the cover ... done. From here, adjusting the rebound, air pressure, etc. is just a push of a button away.

When you're done, simply replace the cover until you hear a click and you're ready to go.

NUDE suspension technology
Shocks with NUDE damper technology have been integrated into SCOTT fullys for almost two decades. Working closely with Scott's suspension partners, this technology has been further improved by Scott to ensure you always have the best support, whether you're riding at the highest level at the World Cup or taking a long tour through the mountains. TwinLoc suspension system
Thanks to TwinLoc, the rider can effectively control the frame, fork and shock as a complete system. Why is this so important? A bike with 150 mm travel, correctly adjusted, has more negative travel (sag) than a bike with 130 mm travel. It is precisely this additional suspension travel that provides the extra riding fun, especially on descents. The greater sag has an enormous effect on the geometry of the bike and the performance on climbs. This is where TwinLoc comes into play. TwinLoc allows for nuanced fine-tuning of the suspension. While with most systems it is difficult to increase the compression for efficient pedalling, with TwinLoc Scott can not only change the compression damping, but also the spring characteristics to dynamically change the geometry of the bike. In trail mode, the damping is not only firmer, it also has less dynamic travel. The bike sits higher, has a steep seat angle even on climbs and therefore rides more agile. Scott also offers a third full lockout mode for the most effective uphill riding. These special settings optimise the climbing geometry, even on bikes with longer suspension travel. Scott can eliminate the "long travel effect" that reduces your efficiency. But that doesn't mean that Scott want to spoil your downhill fun and rob you of the full 150 mm of travel. Whether for racing, a relaxed lunch ride or an after-work ride - the adjustable modes, which you can adjust with a lever depending on the terrain, are key to riding faster and simply having more fun on the trail.
