Patented Integrated Suspension Technology
The Genius features patented integrated suspension technology. This not only gives the bike a fantastic look, but also delivers significantly improved suspension performance. First and foremost, Scott has been able to design the frame with a lower centre of gravity, resulting in better handling and a more stable, confident ride. Furthermore, the frame is stiffer around the bottom bracket, which reduces unnecessary lateral movement in the direction of the shock’s travel. Naturally, the shock is also protected from dirt and the elements – two of the main enemies when it comes to shock performance.
External SAG indicator
Adjusting sag and checking travel has never been easier than with the new Genius. An external indicator on the link allows the rider to make adjustments with ease – adjusting sag and determining how much travel they have available.
Integrated cable routing through the headset
The Genius features a redesigned Hixon cockpit from Syncros. Integrating the cables is a major challenge, and the Hixon was developed in part to solve precisely this problem. The developers at Syncros have worked intensively on the design to ensure the cables run beneath the handlebars and around the sides of the stem before disappearing into the headset via integrated plastic components. This ensures a tidy and efficient cockpit. It prevents the cables from being bent or kinked and gives the front a minimalist look. All our handlebars and stems offer several options for computer, light and camera mounts, both on and under the handlebars.
Easy access to the dampers
On the brand-new Genius, accessing the patented integrated shock absorber is easier than ever. Simply press the button, remove the cover… and you’re done. From here, adjusting the rebound, air pressure and so on is just a push of a button away.
When you’re done, simply replace the cover until you hear a click, and you’re good to go.
NUDE suspension technology
Shock absorbers featuring NUDE technology have been integrated into SCOTT full-suspension bikes for almost two decades. Working closely with Scott’s suspension partners, Scott has further refined this technology to ensure you always have the best support, whether you’re racing at the highest level in the World Cup or out on a long ride through the mountains.
