Inspired by mountain bike engineering principles, molding techniques were carefully re-evaluated to enhance on-road performance. The result is a remarkable 300g reduction in frame kit weight compared to the previous model, achieved without compromising race performance.
Precision Engineering
An innovative manufacturing process (PP Mandrel) enables high-precision molding of inner surfaces and transition zones, combined with strength-optimized tube shapes that eliminate the need for additional reinforcements or unnecessary filler material. The outcome is best-in-class tube profiles and smooth surfaces, significantly reducing the overall frame weight while maintaining strength and stiffness.
Optimized Geometry
The geometry of the new Addict RC has been completely redesigned to align with modern performance standards, allowing for wider tires and ensuring consistent handling across all frame sizes. Whether used in professional racing or during weekend challenges, the new Addict RC delivers enhanced agility and responsiveness for an exceptional riding experience.
Comfort
Advanced molding technology and a redesigned seat post clamping system enable thinner seat tube walls and reduced material usage in key frame areas. Combined with the innovative Syncros SP-R101-CF seatpost, the reduced wall thickness increases flexibility and comfort during long rides. Additionally, the all-new Addict RC offers generous 34mm tire clearance, providing improved comfort even on rough terrain.
Syncros IC-R100-SL Cockpit
The launch of the new Addict RC led to the development of a new, innovative Syncros cockpit. With modern road groupsets featuring flared brake levers, the goal was to create an aerodynamic handlebar through a subtle flare on the drops, blending seamlessly with the levers for improved aerodynamics and handling. Cable routing has been optimized and the clamping system redesigned to reduce weight. Multiple cockpit configurations are available, featuring eight stem lengths (70mm to 140mm) and five bar widths (360mm to 420mm), ensuring a precise fit for every rider.
User-Friendly Adjustability
The new Addict RC is engineered for effortless adjustability, setting a new benchmark in setup convenience. Simplified bolt specifications and a universal tool make adjustments straightforward. A discreetly stored T25 key within the cockpit or handlebar drop allows fine-tuning of the stem, handlebar, seat post, saddle clamps, and bottle cages with ease. This intelligent system enhances usability and simplifies setup and maintenance.
