For the new Addict RC, the approach to carbon road bike manufacturing has been completely redefined. Inspired by the development philosophy of mountain bikes, molding techniques were carefully reevaluated to discover innovative ways to enhance on-road performance. The result: an impressive 300-gram reduction in frame kit weight compared to its predecessor – without any compromise on race performance.
Precision Engineering
The innovative PP Mandrel manufacturing process enables ultra-precise shaping of internal surfaces and transition zones. Combined with strength-optimized tube designs, this eliminates the need for extra reinforcements or filler material. The outcome is best-in-class tube profiles and surfaces, significantly reducing total frame weight while maintaining outstanding stiffness and durability.
Optimized Geometry
The new Addict RC features a completely redesigned geometry that perfectly aligns with modern road racing standards. It accommodates wider tires and ensures consistent, balanced handling across all frame sizes. Whether in professional competition or chasing local KOMs on weekend rides, the Addict RC delivers unmatched agility, precision, and riding enjoyment.
Comfort
Advanced molding technology and a newly developed seat clamp system allow for thinner seat tube walls and optimized material use. Combined with the innovative Syncros SP-R101-CF seatpost, the slimmer tube design increases flexibility and comfort on long rides. In addition, the new Addict RC offers generous 34 mm tire clearance, providing exceptional comfort even on rough terrain.
Syncros IC-R100-SL Cockpit
The introduction of the new Addict RC also led to the creation of an innovative Syncros cockpit. As modern road groupsets feature brake levers with a slight outward flare, the handlebar was shaped to align seamlessly with this contour. The result is improved aerodynamics, watt savings, and enhanced handling. Cable routing and the clamping system were redesigned to further reduce weight. Multiple cockpit configurations are available – with eight stem lengths from 70 to 140 mm and five bar widths from 360 to 420 mm – ensuring the perfect fit for every rider.
User-Friendly Adjustability
The new Addict RC sets a new standard for easy setup and adjustment. Standardized bolt specifications and an integrated universal tool simplify every adjustment. Discreetly stored within the cockpit or handlebar drop, the T25 key allows quick, precise tuning of stem, handlebar, seatpost, saddle clamp, and bottle cages. This solution enhances usability and streamlines maintenance for both riders and mechanics alike.
