Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Comfort features
In order to guarantee a controlled and smooth riding experience, Scott has increased the tire clearance to 45 mm, lowered the seat stays and developed carbon layers for optimum pedaling efficiency and sufficient comfort on rough terrain.
Cable integration
The Creston iC SL X allows the same internal cable routing as the Addict RC and Foil. Both mechanical and electronic shift cables and hydraulic hoses are routed completely internally. The integrated cable routing not only creates a higher quality overall impression, but also improves the airflow at the front and offers more space for handlebar bags without any annoying cables.
Mounts
The new Addict Gravel is equipped with clever mounts for equipment and accessories so that nothing is missing on adventurous tours. It is equipped with an attachment option for bolt-on top tube bags and accessories, an additional attachment on the down tube for an additional water bottle cage or tool box and two different water bottle cage positions for better access when riding with a frame bag.
Aerodynamic tube shapes
Gravel and Aero can also go hand in hand. SCOTT's patented Airfoil design has been applied to all main tubes (down tube, head tube, seat post, seat stays) with the aim of optimizing drag and reducing it overall without compromising on comfort.
1x or 2x drivetrain
One hundred percent compatible with 1x or 2x drivetrains. For a single drivetrain, the front changer plate can be replaced with a bike-specific chain guide or a lock plate.
Mounts for mudguards
The Addict Gravel has well-hidden mounts for Syncros-specific mudguards, which also makes it a perfect bike for commuters. Tire clearance with mudguards is 40 mm.
