The long Gregarius winter cycling tights have been enhanced with the brand’s own UF Thermo Plus fabric. This is an innovative fabric featuring an extremely dense knit, which performs much more effectively than conventional winter cycling tights made from standard nylon. The outer layer of the fabric is made from nylon with a DWR finish, which protects your legs and bottom from rain and splashes. The inner layer of the fabric consists of a special hydrophobic polyester yarn that insulates whilst simultaneously wicking moisture away from the skin. Like all our cycling shorts and tights, the long winter cycling tights have been pre-shaped for the riding position and tailored to the body. The result is that there is no excess fabric bunching up behind the knees to irritate you whilst riding. A minimum of seams and strategically placed panels ensure freedom of movement, without you feeling restricted or constricted around the knees whilst cycling.
For the interface between the saddle and the seat pad, Q36.5 uses a new, proprietary pattern to improve the connection. This innovative pattern eliminates the central seam, which typically causes pressure and discomfort. The new pattern replicates the saddle’s contact surface and is made from a moulded fabric that naturally adapts to different saddle types. To enhance comfort in the pelvic area, an anti-stress cut allows for greater freedom of movement and prevents pressure points. The seat pad utilises a new three-dimensional SuperMoulded Anatomic construction, which adapts better to the anatomy of the human body and offers enhanced comfort whilst cycling. The foam padding has been calibrated according to a pattern of variable densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischial, genital and gluteal areas, resulting in an extremely sophisticated balance of overall comfort.
The seat pad is moulded using a unique technique that allows for subtle variations in the thickness of the padding, significantly improving contact with the rider’s skin. The long winter cycling tights feature reflective inserts made from a highly elastic material, ensuring they do not compromise the fabric’s flexibility or restrict movement whilst cycling.
