Very comfortable, not too hot, but the protection is minimal. It will only protect you in falls on soft dirt and from scratches.

Great knee pads: don't chafe when pedalling, are light, wick moisture quite well, comfortable, stay in place - never had them slip. Reasonably priced for the comfort level. Only had light falls with them so no feedback on impact protection, but feel o.k. for trails and light DH training runs. The only nag is that the matching elbow pads, while great in all other aspects, slip down way too easily and dangle on my forearm even after 2-3 min. rooty trail rides.

Quality and feel very well... no1 for me
I use these on every ride with no problem. Lightweight, not too hot. Size chart was accurate. If between sizes, choose the smaller. I've been really happy with the pads. A bit pricey but they were worth it.
