After more than 15 years without any real innovation in stem design and manufacturing, the company has succeeded in setting a new benchmark for stems with a new design and a novel manufacturing technique. The NEWMEN EVOLUTION 318.4 is the world’s lightest 3D-forged mass-produced oversize stem.
3D stem forging was pioneered around 2001. The first super-light stems appeared very quickly. For years, these set the benchmark in terms of weight. Following the introduction of the 31.8 mm handlebar clamp size and the shift in stem design (a round stem tube no longer matches current frame designs), the weight of these stems has, unfortunately, also shot up.
With the NEWMEN EVOLUTION 318.4, however, we have now succeeded in creating a stem with a contemporary design and low weight. In addition to its low weight and minimalist design, it also impresses with its stiffness, stability and durability.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all racing handlebars are compatible with the NEWMEN EVOLUTION 318.4 stem.
