The rapid evolution of gravel bikes over the last few years hasn’t gone unnoticed at Mondraker. The Gravel category, which has seen unstoppable growth via different disciplines and different types of users, has meant a return to their origins for many people. Origins based on fun, the ability to go further, and the pleasure of pedalling over more complicated terrain. All of this with a very marked off-road character, something which is in perfect alignment with the philosophy Mondraker here at Mondraker apply to all of the mountain bike.
The DUSTY is the perfect concept of an e-Gravel bike designed to encompass the three most in-demand disciplines of gravel bikes, adventure, long distance and technical terrain riding.

Stealth Carbon
STEALTH CARBON is the most advanced carbon fibre development and optimisation technology in the Mondraker range. This constantly developing technology brings all the experience gained in making aluminium frames to top of the range carbon fibre to meet the same innovation, maximum quality, minimum weight and strength requirements. Carbon fibre layers’ placement is a crucial technique with specific positioning and direction of the different quality fibres for each bike type and model. The result is a frame with the best strength / structural rigidity / trail buzz absorption / lightness ratio, exceptional reliability and a very attractive and unique 100% Mondraker look.

The Dusty is an e-bike that rides almost as naturally as a non-electric bike
At Mondraker refuse to sacrifice that natural pedalling feel on any of Mondrakers electric models, and the DUSTY is no exception. That’s why Mondraker has collaborated closely with Mahle from the very beginning to implement Mondraker tuning philosophy to the system, thus achieving exactly the response we expect from the support the DUSTY offers you while riding. The DUSTY's natural pedalling feel is one of its key features when it comes to managing the way you receive assistance from the Mahle X20 motor. Regardless of the level you select (there are 3 levels) there's no need to change the way you pedal as you’ll hardly notice the seamless transitions between each and every start and stop of the motor’s assistance. As such none of the 3 levels of assistance feel intrusive. Even in assist mode 3 (the maximum) we’ve maintained the same natural pedalling feel thus avoiding any unwanted power spikes. -
Watts on demand
The DUSTY has 3 levels of assistance, each fully configurable by the user through the MySmartBike application. We’ve collaborated with Mahle on the development of specific firmware to define the assistance characteristics of the motor for use on gravel bikes. As a starting point the objective we set ourselves was to simulate the effort made by the rider at all times, without the assistance of the motor exceeding the sensation of a natural pedalling feel. This is the concept that we call “WATTS ON DEMAND”. Mondraker follow these three core principles: Non-intrusive system, Sufficient support to satisfy use for gravel riding, Unlimited” range. -
Support levels with 3 parameters each
Each level has 3 features which are fully configurable by the user: Peak Power: The maximum power that the system gives you at all times. Reactivity: Sensitivity of the system at the moment assistance starts. Acceleration: How quickly the system reaches 'Peak Power' (maximum assistance). As such level 1 has a continuous power contribution of 25%, level 2 reaches 50% and level 3 goes up to 200% (varying between 75 and 200% depending on the torque input by the rider). Unlike other systems, the Mahle X20's assistance is based on the torque (application of force) produced by the rider, rather than cadence. The assistance offered by the system is always proportional to the effort exerted by the rider, as if it were a power amplifier. The sensor that controls the power (torque) applied by the rider is located in the bottom bracket.
FORWARD GEOMETRY (more grip, safety and performance)
Mondraker’s Forward Geometry has proven to be the geometry benchmark for high-end performance mountain bikes nowadays and this is one of Mondrakers proprietary most unique leading technologies to date.

The new compact Head Unit information system includes BT and ANT+ connectivity, brightness sensor and 3D accelerometer, combining everything you need to know in a single light line.
Everything you need
The new torque and cadence sensor in the bottom bracket allows the eBike to accurately read each watt of power you apply, giving the user the appropriate response thanks to AI and Machine Learning. The system learns from you and adapts to your needs and the environment at any given moment.

The lightest drive unit on the market
The crown jewel of the new X20 system that drove the whole industry forward. Lightweiht at only 1399 grams. It features the AMC system -Automatic Motor Connection, patent pending- which eliminates the need for motor cables and allows natural positioning of the wheel by attaching it via a standard 12 mm thru axle.
The subtlety of performance
The X20 drive unit with a torque of 55 Nm, compatible with the EU market (25 km/h) and the US market (20 km/h), has been developed and assembled in Europe to achieve maximum performance levels, completely eliminating air resistance when exceeding the maximum assisted speed without affecting the rider.
Always ready
Compatible with all freewheel standards and groupsets with up to 13 gears. The X20 drive unit has a new quick-change system for the freewheel, which makes maintenance easier and keeps the motor ready for use at all times.

Mahle eShifter - Full control at the touch of a button
The eShifter is an eBike accessory developed by MAHLE with the aim of finding the most convenient and effective minimum remote for controlling the assistance level. In the search for ergonomics and optimal integration, this new remote control accessory combines compactness and effectiveness. Safety is our top priority, which is why Mahle has developed the eShifter. The electric control button can be flexibly positioned anywhere on the handlebars, allowing the rider to adjust the level of assistance without taking their hands off the curved handlebars.
