Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "Force AM2 29" Folding Tire"
The super agile among the all-mountain tires: Michelin Force AM2 29" Folding Tyre
The tread features elongated center blocks for reduced rolling resistance and lower ground penetration - numerous block edges provide grip under braking and traction under acceleration. The shoulder blocks are inspired by the Michelin DH22 tyre and are designed for high grip and stability during cornering for progressive and controlled riding. In addition, an optimized ratio between tread blocks and grooves ensures that momentum is maintained to the maximum on flowing trails.

GUM-X3D
More power, more drive, + gripIt is a mixture of three different compounds on one tire XC:
- Race Compound: directly under the layer in conjunction with your pedaling force to ensure maximum efficiency
- Traction Compound: outer rubber to maximize traction without loss of power and ensure excellent braking
- GRIP Compound: side bi rubbers for an incredible grip to leave you in your control
Pinch Protection
- Pinch Protection is a reinforcement in the bead zone to reduce the impact of impact crush and prevent punctures.
Gravity Shield
The carcass, based on MICHELIN Gravity Shield Technology, consists of a high-density fiber that extends from bead to bead. This allows the developers to achieve increased resistance to impact damage as well as protection against sidewall cuts and punctures.
