Magped’s best-selling, extremely robust, double-sided magnetic pedal for trail, enduro and downhill has been redesigned and is now better than ever. The ENDURO2 is CNC-machined from a single block of aluminium and is 23% lighter, wider and stronger than the original. It also features improved, sharper 9mm/11mm SWITCH pins.
Thanks to the patented magnetic mechanism, you can safely, quickly and easily release your foot from the pedal at any time. Compared to pedals with fixed connections (e.g. clipless pedal systems), the risk of falls and injuries is reduced to an absolute minimum – leaving you free to enjoy cycling without any worries.
Features – ENDURO2 Magnetic Pedal
- Smooth pedalling: The magped pedal enables a smooth pedalling motion, as it engages both the extensor muscles (70%) and the flexor muscles (30%) of the leg muscles evenly. This makes even longer bike rides a pure pleasure.
- Holding force: Depending on the selected magnetic strength,the shoe is held magnetically to the pedal with a holding force of up to 15 kg. The holding force acts primarily vertically, and lifting your foot off the pedal sideways is possible with virtually no noticeable resistance. However, quickly and easily lifting your foot straight up in critical situations is also no problem.
- Weight: The magped pedal is a modern, high-quality flat pedal made from lightweight CNC-machined aluminium with a CrMo spindle. Despite the additional magnetic system, all magped pedals are no heavier than comparable high-end pedals.
- Position: The pedal allows for a slight rotation of the shoe, thereby reducing strain on the joints whilst pedalling. The position can also be adjusted forwards and backwards without altering the holding force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both ascents and descents.
- Cleat: The cleat, made from rust-treated special steel, can be fitted to any SPD-compatible cycling shoe using two screws in just a few minutes. Unlike other systems, dirt is not a problem for the magped. In addition, the risk of tripping whilst walking is reduced and walking comfort is greatly improved.
- Technology: The magped pedal is fitted with three high-quality, sealed industrial ball bearings. The pedal pins can be replaced if necessary. The height of the high-performance neodymium magnet is adjustable via a special integrated polymer suspension system.
- Pins: These are screwed in ‘inside out’ and can be fitted by the user (supplied loose)
