Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Highlights
Lightweight Advantage
The Avail Advanced is super light and efficient because it has a completely new frame made of advanced-grade carbon and a fork made of advanced-grade carbon. This makes it easier to ride uphill and almost impossible to catch up on long distances.
Superior compliance
With the redesigned frame and fork, you can ride longer without straining yourself more. They are optimized to give you a super smooth and efficient riding experience. The innovative Liv Contact D-Fuse handlebars and D-Fuse seatpost absorb more road vibrations than round tubes without sacrificing efficiency when cornering and climbing.
Maximum control
The Liv Contact D-Fuse handlebars have an ergonomic shape and an 8-degree flare drop so that you have everything under control on your rides from sunrise to sunset. The wide aluminum rims are designed for large-volume tubeless tires (up to 38 mm) and ensure predictable handling and stability on asphalt and cobblestones.

Technologies
Advanced Composite Technology
Liv’s high-performance carbon fiber is used to create this special carbon frame material, which is woven and processed in-house, offering an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle is molded as a single piece. In the modified monocoque construction, the outer braided composite layer is omitted, reducing weight without compromising ride quality, stability, or stiffness.
D-Fuse Seatpost
Liv’s proprietary D-shaped seatpost absorbs vibrations, providing a smooth and comfortable ride.
Compact Road Design
The Compact Road Design was introduced by Giant in the 1990s with the professional ONCE team, revolutionizing the appearance of high-performance road bikes. A sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles, making the bike lighter and stiffer, while helping riders of all sizes achieve the perfect fit.
OverDrive
Liv’s original oversized steerer tube system. Built for precise handling, the oversized headset bearings (1 1/4" bottom, 1 1/8" top for road; 1 1/2" bottom, 1 1/8" top for mountain) and tapered steerer provide optimal stiffness in the front end.
Tubeless System
Fewer flats. Better traction. Lower rolling resistance. Giant’s Tubeless System simplifies and enhances every ride.
