The novel device combines a tiny, but approx. 85 dB loud alarm system with a transmitter to be able to locate the so secured bike with Apple's "Find My" app if necessary.
Features - Knog Scout Alarm and Tracking Device
- Alarm unit with 85 dB signal tone reacts to movements and vibrations and gives this alarm also on the iPhone
- Can be mounted with neon yellow side up (deterrent effect) or with black side up or even with a bottle holder above (hidden)
- Alarm system can be armed or disarmed - within Bluetooth range - with an iOS app from Knog
- Optional (dis)activation via a button on the Scout
- If the bike still disappears, it can be located with Apple's "Find My" app
- LED display documents alarm status and battery charge
- The device is charged via USB-C and has a specified battery life of approximately six months
- Charging time: approximately four hours

Installation und Inbetriebnahme auf dem Smartphone sowie die Montage unter einem Flaschenhalter haben sehr gut funktioniert. Kein Abo notwendig. Einmalige Kosten. Das Gerät ist ausreichend Laut. Es gibt einen Modus, bei dem nur das Handy alarmiert und das Gerät am Rad still bleibt. Ortung über "wo ist" funktioniert einwandfrei. "Bewegungssensitivität" hat fünf Stufen. Habe keinen Unterschied feststellen können. Bei der kleinsten Bewegung geht der Alarm los. Trotzdem 5 Sterne. Für 40€ ist das Gerät Top.
