Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "R50 CR Solix Road SP 700C CL Rear Wheel"
The Industry Nine R50 rear wheel is the most aerodynamic all-round rear wheel in the current R-Series and has been designed for riders seeking maximum efficiency on fast road race courses without having to ride a heavy, high-profile wheel. The combination of a 50 mm-deep carbon rim and the SOLiX-SL hub makes it a true performance wheel.
The 50 mm rim has been specially developed for modern 28–30 mm tyres. Industry Nine has optimised the rim shape using CFD simulations and wind tunnel tests.
The SOLiX-SL hub, with 605 engagement points and an engagement angle of just 0.59°, enables exceptionally direct power transfer.
Features – R50 CR Solix Road SP 700C CL rear wheel
- High aerodynamic performance at speeds above 35 km/h
- Noticeably smoother ride than a 35 mm rear wheel
- Very good acceleration despite a 50 mm rim height
- High crosswind stability compared to 60 mm and 80 mm wheels
- Suitable for races, fast training rides and long Gran Fondos

Technologies
Aero-optimised carbon rim
The R Carbon rims were developed using CFD simulations and tested in a wind tunnel, and are among the fastest rims on the market specifically designed for disc brakes. And best of all: they are lightweight and tubeless-compatible.
SOLix Hub
The ultra-light Industry Nine SOLiX hub combines low weight, high stiffness and durable bearing technology, making the R50 rear wheel a high-performance companion for fast and demanding road cycling.
SOLix SL Freewheel
At the heart of the SOLiX rear hub is a continuously phase-controlled freehub with five pawls, seamlessly integrated into a 121-tooth drive ring – this provides 605 contact points, corresponding to an extremely fine engagement angle of 0.59°. The pawls and drive ring, machined from A2 tool steel using precision wire EDM, are designed for maximum durability. To minimise rolling resistance and freewheel noise, Industry Nine has reduced the drive diameter, the rotation of the pawls and the spring tension of the pawls, and has altered the arrangement of the freewheel seal.
