Product information "Dissector II 29x2.40" WT DD TR 3C MaxxGrip E-25 Folding tire"

The Maxxis Dissector Gen2 folding tire has been extensively revised and offers modern trail and enduro bikes even more grip, control and versatility. More solid side and transition lugs with an optimized sipe structure ensure increased stability, precise cornering and a direct ride feel, especially on hard surfaces.

Maxxis Dissector Gen2 - The next evolutionary stage for Trail & Enduro

The adapted center tread improves braking control and adapts perfectly to the terrain. Thanks to its increased durability and balanced tread design, the tire is ideal as a front or rear tire on trail bikes and as a fast rear tire for enduro use. The Dissector Gen2 thus sets new standards for performance and riding fun.

Features - Maxxis Dissector Gen2 WT DD TR 3C MaxxGrip

  • revised side and transition lugs with larger contact area and optimized sipe structure for more grip, stability and precise cornering.
  • New center tread with more widely spaced lugs for improved braking power and better adaptation to the surface.
  • Earlier cornering grip and more harmonious steering behavior ensure a direct, safe driving experience on hard surfaces.

Technologies

3C MaxxGrip
The rubber compound that has made MAXXIS tires the reference in MTB downhill racing. 3C MAXXGRIP offers the ultimate grip and the best damping properties for incomparable traction and performance in downhill races.

DoubleDown Casing [DD]
DoubleDown tires are constructed like our downhill tires: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two fine 120TPI (instead of 60TPI) casing plies and aramid bead cores, they are significantly lighter than our downhill tires and much more robust than our EXO+ models. The ideal tires for tough enduro courses.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires on bikes have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with an inner tube, and with a sealant instead of an inner tube the risk of punctures is greatly reduced as small holes are simply sealed. For MTB tires, TR tires are almost exclusively used in competitions, and the number of road bike users is also increasing continuously.

Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
