The trail version of the triple compound: It combines good rolling resistance uphill with great grip on the descent. MAXXTERRA has less rolling resistance and lasts longer than the DH compound MAXXGRIP, and more grip and traction than the XC compound 3C MAXXSPEED. It is the "golden mean" for trail riders.
EXO+ Protection
The new EXO+ carcass is based on a 60TPI carcass coated with an abrasion-resistant rubber. There is a reinforced and rubberized EXO puncture protection layer on the tire sidewalls and a short butyl insert over the tire bead. This means that tires with EXO+ protection are built for aggressive trail riding and lighter enduro races and are particularly suitable for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires on bikes have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with an inner tube, and with a sealant instead of an inner tube, the risk of punctures is greatly reduced as small holes are simply sealed. For MTB tires, TR tires are almost exclusively used in competitions, and the number of road bike users is also increasing continuously.
Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
