Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "Aviator Cap - Under Helmet Cap"
It may be a myth that you lose more heat from your head than anywhere else, but the proportionate heat loss and discomfort of an exposed head and ears on a winter bike ride could see you heading home much earlier than planned. The Aviator will keep your head and ears warm. Thanks to its lightweight construction and low-profile seams, it sits comfortably underneath your cycling helmet.
The exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio makes it the best possible insulation for your head in cold winter conditions — it is lightweight and low bulk, but exceptionally good at insulating you against the cold. Then, when you do put in an effort and break a sweat, the highly breathable moisture wicking fabric will ensure there isn’t a build-up of moisture within.
With a contoured low cut back and ears for added coverage and insulation against the cold, this winter cycling skull cap is the ultimate deep winter companion.
Features - GripGrab Aviator Windproof Deep Winter Skull Cap
- Windproof protection – Flexible windproof inserts protect your head from windchill in deep winter conditions
- Deep winter insulation – Warm, soft and stretchy thick fleece fabric offers insulation and comfort in sub-zero temperatures
- Highly breathable – Moisture wicking fleece fabric is highly breathable and has a high warmth-to-weight ratio
- Contoured shape – Shaped cut provides enhanced protection and insulation around ears and neck
- Under helmet fit – Flatlock stitching allows a comfortable close fit under a cycling helmet

This hat is very warm and very soft in the same time tinny and didn’t take much space under the helmet. Zero Wind and zero cold! Love it!!!
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Passform sehr gut.
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Very good head insulation. I use it up to -3C for MTB and up to 3C for road bike.
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Excellent protection. Was using it at +3 deg and it was just perfect...
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars
Gute Mütze, leider Made in China.
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Fits comfortably. Protects also the ears and the back of the head. Good choice.
Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars
