Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

SUPER FIT™ ENGINEERING FOR GLOVES
Super Fit Engineering is a proprietary process that determines the fit, design and shape of each Giro glove to maximise comfort and performance. The palm, fingers and padding are carefully tailored to fit the shape and size of the hand. Super Fit Engineering reduces wrinkles and pressure points and increases grip and grip security on the handlebars and ensures maximum effectiveness of the padding.
THREE-PIECE PALM CONSTRUCTION
Giro's unique three-piece palm construction gives your gloves a fit that minimises wrinkles and does not hinder hand movement in any way. This gives you maximum control with unrestricted grip on the handlebars. The design of the individual parts of the palm mimics the characteristics and joints of the hand, allowing Giro gloves to provide increased grip and better protection for the entire hand.
1 - THUMBS The Super Fit Engineered thumb trim enables a close fit with outstanding freedom of movement and better grip for maximum control and grip on the handlebars.
2 - PALM The Super Fit Engineered palm trim enables a perfect, comfortable fit without creasing. By carefully sizing the palm to match the natural palm curve, Giro gloves remain comfortable without sacrificing protection.
3 - CORPUS The Super Fit Engineered body of a Giro glove is designed to support the natural movement of the hand and provide sufficient protection and padding where you need it most. Thanks to the optimal thickness and placement of the padding with integrated flex zones, you can move your fingers and joints more naturally.
