The Syntax™ MIPS® combines a touch of European flair with a little more coverage and high-performance features – all wrapped up in a sleek design. The fit is extremely comfortable and secure – thanks to the fully adjustable Roc Loc® MIPS® system, which allows you to tailor the fit precisely to your head whilst always being able to rely on the additional protection against rotational forces in the event of an impact.
The outer shell is made from robust polycarbonate, which, thanks to Giro’s In-Mould™ construction process, is firmly bonded to the inner shell made of EPS foam to enhance durability and ventilation.

Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Wind Tunnel™ ventilation is Giro’s proprietary system of internal channels and active vents that direct cool, fresh air over and around your head, expelling stifling heat and stale air. A difference you can see and feel – on every ride.
Roc Loc 5
The new benchmark in adjustment systems is undoubtedly the RocLoc® 5 adjustment system. The adjustment mechanism is housed in a compact casing, and size adjustment is simple and can be carried out in micro-steps using just two fingers. In addition, the system can be adjusted for height, ensuring a perfect fit for the helmet.
In-Mould
In the In-Mold construction process, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single operation whilst the latter is being foamed. This makes the helmet even more durable without adding any extra weight. This production process also makes it possible to create significantly better ventilation systems and vents. In-Mould helmets are therefore lighter than traditional helmets and feature significantly better ventilation systems.
MIPS® Multidirectional Impact Protection System
MIPS® is a slip-plane system inside the helmet, designed to slow down or absorb the amount of energy transferred towards or away from the head.
