Technologies
In-Mold
With the In-Mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single step during the foaming process. This makes the helmet even more resistant without adding weight. This production process also makes it possible to create significantly better ventilation systems and ventilation openings. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are therefore lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
MIPS® Multidirectional Impact Protection System
MIPS® is a sliding plane system inside the helmet designed to slow down or absorb the amount of energy transmitted towards or away from the head.
Roc Loc 5
The new benchmark in adjustment systems is undoubtedly the Roc Loc® 5 adjustment system. The adjustment mechanism is in a mini-housing, the size adjustment is simple and can be done with two fingers in micro-grids. The height of the system can also be adjusted to ensure a perfect helmet fit.
Wind Tunnel ventilation
Wind Tunnel™ Ventilation is Giro's proprietary system of internal channels and active vents that channel cool, fresh air over and around your head, forcing out exhausting heat and stale air. A difference you can see and feel - on every ride.
P.O.V. Plus
The P.O.V. Plus visor has an adjustment mechanism that allows the visor to be adjusted up and down in 3 stages. In addition, the visor can be pushed so far upwards that the goggle can be pushed onto the helmet during a break, for example. Adjustment is easy with one hand and while riding.
