MIPS® Multidirectional Impact Protection System
MIPS® is a sliding plane system inside the helmet, which was developed to slow down or absorb the amount of energy that is transferred towards or away from the head.
Roc Loc® 5+ Air
In addition to the optimized air circulation of the Roc Loc Air system, the vertical positioning can also be improved by asymmetrical adjustment at the contact points.
In-Mold
With the In-Mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single step during the foaming process. This makes the helmet even more resistant without adding weight. This production process also makes it possible to create significantly better ventilation systems and ventilation openings. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are therefore lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Wind Tunnel™ Ventilation is Giro's proprietary system of internal channels and active vents that channel cool, fresh air over and around your head, forcing out exhausting heat and stale air. A difference you can see and feel - on every ride.
Roll Cage™ Reinforcement
The Roll Cage™ is a reinforcement made of particularly impact-resistant Nylon®, which is embedded directly into the EPS inner foam of Giro's best helmets. It provides an extra level of stability and safety.
Super Fit™ engineering
The Super Fit™ sizing system is the basis of Giro's product design and development process. Many years of experience allow the manufacturer to draw on a vast amount of measurement data from a wide variety of head and face shapes during development. After a wide variety of intensive laboratory tests, the product is subjected to further tough practical tests and put through its paces by Giro's team riders. Optimization is then carried out until maximum fit and comfort are achieved. Of course, no compromises are made in terms of quality and functionality - that's what makes the Super Fit™ system so special.
