Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Highlights
TCR Advanced 0
Newly integrated components such as the Contact AeroLight stem create a sleek, aerodynamic profile. The Variant seatpost provides just the right amount of compliance for a balanced, race-ready feel. With generous tire clearance (up to 33 mm) and smooth-rolling wheels, you stay fast on both smooth tarmac and rougher roads.
System Optimized
The frameset, wheels, cockpit, and other components are designed, developed, and tested as a complete system. The new Contact AeroLight stem allows fully integrated cable routing, combining the top cap, cables, and spacers into an aerodynamic, easy-to-adjust setup.
Superior Efficiency
With an improved stiffness-to-weight ratio compared to the previous generation, a new aero tube design, and reduced overall weight, this race machine delivers explosive acceleration and uncompromising pedaling stiffness.
Holistic Aerodynamics
All tube shapes were developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and refined through wind tunnel testing. From the truncated ellipse frame profiles to the redesigned cockpit, every detail contributes to a sleeker silhouette and significantly improved aerodynamic performance.
Giant Variant Carbon Seatpost
The patented seatpost strikes the perfect balance between low weight, aerodynamic performance, and flexibility. It allows easy saddle installation and precise adjustment for optimal comfort and efficiency.
Aerodynamic Handlebar and Stem
The lightweight handlebar and stem feature an aerodynamic shape with a flat top section and raised edges for a stable aero position. Internal cable routing enhances aerodynamics while allowing easy setup and adjustment.
Internal Cable Routing
Frame, handlebar, and stem feature fully integrated cable routing for a clean, streamlined look that also improves aerodynamic efficiency.
Elliptical Tubes
Strategically engineered tube profiles in the frame and fork—developed through CFD modeling and wind tunnel testing—enhance aerodynamic efficiency and minimize drag.
MegaDrive
An oversized down tube and top tube deliver outstanding lateral and torsional stiffness at the front end. The precisely engineered, rectangular down tube ensures exceptional steering precision and optimal power transfer.

Technologies
Advanced Composite Technology
Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Compact Road Design
Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.
PowerCore
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
OverDrive Aero
Found inside the head tube of the Defy, Propel and TCR ranges, the D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easier to service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
Tubeless system
Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
