Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "Carbon G.Dare - MTB Shoes"
Precision down to the last detail: the Carbon G.DARE MTB shoe by GAERNE
The upper is made of perforated microfiber. Together with the anatomical tongue, the shoe offers excellent breathability and a perfect climate for the driver.
Two independent BOA Dial Z allow a precise, fast and individual closure without pressure points. The L6 DIAL Z is easy to grip and adjust with the rubberized surface.
This shoe is designed with TSS technology "Tarsal Support System" to ensure the perfect position of the foot in the shoe for a more rounded and efficient step. The new integrated anti-slip heel counter does not weaken or deform. With its anti tendonitis shape, the shoe allows the best foot stability and control. Internal anti-slip treatment allows the best foot stability and control.
The internal anatomical EPS TRANSPIRANT COMFORT insole with support for the tarsal area improves comfort and pedaling efficiency. The insole is perforated for an optimal microclimate inside the shoe.
The EPS LIGHT WEIGHT CARBON FIBER MTB SOLE 10.0 combines Gaerne technology with the expertise of Michelin designers and technicians to provide the right blend of performance, durability, strength and lightness. Its structure is made of carbon to ensure excellent stiffness and power when pedaling. The Michelin rubber tread is a blend that combines performance and abrasion resistance - even in extreme conditions - with a design profile that provides excellent grip and traction. The large gap between the treads allows for better self-cleaning and instant mud evacuation.
For those riders who need even more grip, two holes in the toe box allow for screw-in and replaceable cleats.

CLOSURE SYSTEM BOA L6
The patented closure system "BOA L6®" consists of twist locks, with stainless steel cables that allow an unparalleled fine adjustment. The combination of these elements allows the rider a perfect fixation of the foot, where there are no pressure points. The absence of Velcro closures allows the greatest possible air circulation in the forefoot.
TRANSPIRANT INNER-SOLE
The insole is anatomically shaped for optimum comfort. Micro-pöros for good ventilation. Interchangeable.
