Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Transfer Factory Internal 31.6 x 120mm Dropperpost TOP-DEAL"
Market leader: The internal Transfer Factory Vario seatpost from Fox Racing
The Transfer has been completely redesigned and is now even smoother and more robust than ever before. With easier actuation, improved ease of maintenance and greater tunability, the 2025 Transfer has an overall advantage over the competition. The suspension travel is now adjustable in 5 mm increments and is available up to 240 mm travel.
The completely revised hydraulic system of the 2025 Transfer has a completely new sealing system that increases durability. The service interval is now 300 hours, which most riders can do with the tools in their garage. Fox Racing has also used metal coated EKONOL (PTFE/Teflon) bushings to achieve low tolerances and the lowest possible friction to facilitate function.
The arrangement of the new air chamber allows the rider to increase and decrease the air pressure via a Schrader valve under the seat clamps. This allows the preferred return speed to be set or adapted to environmental factors such as altitude or ambient temperature. A metal valve cap with O-ring (the same one used by FOX) ensures that no air escapes through the valve.
The low height and 2-bolt clamp that riders of the previous Transfer Vario seatposts love have been retained, while the aesthetics have been improved and the weight minimised. With up to 240 mm of travel, adjustable travel (25 mm in 5 mm increments) and a special 34.9 mm diameter, the Transfer reclaims its rightful place as the top seatpost.
"Factory" says it all. The best technology FOX has to offer is available in the Factory Series models with buttery smooth and extremely durable original Kashima coating.
