GRIPX2
To develop the ultimate downhill shock, Fox sought the same level of adjustability found in motocross and supercross racing suspension. The multi-award-winning Grip 2 featured a base valve diameter of 20 mm and seven valves. With the Grip X2, adjustability has been improved by increasing the base valve diameter to 24 mm with 23 valves. The result is the most adjustable, supportive and smoothest fork shock that FOX has ever developed. Riders benefit from greater travel whilst keeping their tyres on the ground. You can enter corners with more traction, giving you the confidence to push the limits in downhill and enduro races whilst reducing rider fatigue.
Kashima Coat finish
The distinctive golden Genuine Kashima Coat finish delivers outstanding overall performance, ensuring minimal friction and optimal responsiveness whilst maximising durability. All Factory Series forks – Now available on all Factory Series forks. The Genuine Kashima Coat finish, which delivers a butter-smooth ride, is available exclusively from FOX – the Kashima Coat logo is applied to both stanchions.
FLOAT Air Spring – Patented Air Compensation Technology
The FLOAT air spring system for the 32, 34 and 40 models is lighter and reduces the activation force required for compression, ensuring excellent ride comfort and improved responsiveness over minor bumps for all riders and at all pressure settings. Similar to our FLOAT dampers, the new FLOAT system features positive and negative air springs that automatically balance each other during use to provide the rider with exactly the desired suspension behaviour. The progressiveness of the spring rate curve can be adjusted using air volume spacers, allowing the rider to fine-tune the air spring’s behaviour.
EVOL
A more linear spring curve gives EVOL forks and dampers smoother suspension behaviour at the top end of the travel, extra support in the mid-travel range and more finely tunable end-stroke progression. EVOL technology features an increased negative air spring volume. It is specifically positioned and dimensioned to provide optimum sensitivity to small impacts.
Air Volume Spacers
The FLOAT air spring in Fox forks and shock absorbers can be fine-tuned using volume spacers to make the suspension more or less progressive. This allows the rider to fine-tune the suspension precisely to their requirements.
