Fox Racing Shox 38 A FLOAT 29" Performance Elite 180 Grip X2 58HT Tapered Kabolt-X Boost TOP-DEAL
Product information "38 A FLOAT 29" Performance Elite 180 Grip X2 58HT Tapered Kabolt-X Boost TOP-DEAL"
If you want the drops to be high and the jumps to be long, then go for the 38. Optimized for 160 mm to 180 mm travel and packed with the same features as the 36, the Fox 38 redefines the expectations of a long-travel single crown fork and sets new standards in terms of confidence, performance and robustness.
The GRIP X2 is the most tunable, supportive and smoothest downhill orientated suspension ever developed by FOX. It is high in its travel and generates maximum ground contact as well as brilliant traction in corners. This gives bikers a lot of confidence to push the limits in downhill and enduro races and at the same time reduces muscle fatigue. The GRIP X2 makes all the difference.
Features - Fox Racing 38 A Float 29" Performance Elite GripX2
Improved FLOAT EVOL air spring for extra plush suspension
Downhill-orientated GRIP-X2 damping cartridge with high-speed and low-speed compression damping
Innovative elliptical head tube in the fork crown area for high stiffness with minimal weight
Bleeding system ensures constant fork performance
Air and oil ducts are now in the dip tube unit
Weight-optimised chassis with optimum stiffness/weight ratio and new fork crown for more space in the head tube area
Weight-optimised chassis offers particularly great advantages with shorter offsets

Technologies
GRIPX2
To develop the ultimate downhill shock, Fox sought the same adjustability as motocross and supercross race suspension. The multi-award-winning Grip 2 had a basic valve diameter of 20 mm and seven valves. With the Grip X2, tunability has been improved by increasing the base valve diameter to 24 mm with 23 valves. The result is the most adjustable, supportive and supple fork damper FOX has ever developed. The rider benefits from more travel while the tyres stay on the ground. You can corner with more traction, giving you the confidence to push the limits in downhill and enduro races while reducing rider fatigue.
FLOAT air suspension - patented air equalisation technology
The FLOAT air suspension system for the 32, 34 and 40 is lighter and reduces the compression release force, providing excellent ride comfort and better response to small bumps for all riders and at all pressure settings. Similar to our FLOAT shocks, the new FLOAT system has positive and negative air springs that automatically equalise in use to give the rider exactly the desired suspension behaviour. The progressivity of the spring characteristic can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing the rider to fine-tune the spring behaviour of the air spring.
EVOL
A more linear spring curve gives EVOL forks and shocks smoother top-end spring behaviour, extra mid-travel support and more tunable end progression. EVOL technology has an increased negative air spring volume. Specially positioned and dimensioned with optimum sensitivity to small bumps.
Air Volume Spacers
The FLOAT air spring on Fox forks and shocks can be fine-tuned by using volume spacers to make the suspension elements more progressive or less progressive. This allows the rider to fine-tune the suspension exactly to their needs.
