Die Schutzjacke an sich macht einen guten Eindruck. Die Passform des Bodys ist okay, sie lässt sich angenehm tragen. Die Schulterprotektoren liegen gut an der oberen Seite der Oberarme und reichen knapp über das Gelenk, die Ellenbogenprotektoren sitzen optimal und schützen das Gelenk. Beide lassen sich nicht fixieren und sitzen erstmal gut am Arm. Bei einem Sturz würden sie evtl. verrutschen und schützen somit nicht. Etwas unpraktisch und fummelig ist die Lösung der Fixierung des Brust- und Rückenprotektors. Um die Jacke an- oder ausziehen zu können, muss erst der Klettverschluss durch die enge Öse geführt werden. Hier wäre ein Klemmverschluss besser. Damit alles optimal sitzt und hält, sollte eine Nummer kleiner bestellt werden. Ich habe sie dennoch wieder zurückgeschickt.
I crashed twice with this protetor and felt it provided adequate protection, even though I broke a collarbone on the second crash (it was a hard crash and no protector would have helped). The quality is pretty good. I don't think it breathes very well. On a recent trip where we were switching between downhill trails and a van with airco, I was sweating a lot under the D3O pads during the runs and then freezing my muscles (specially lower back muscles) inside the van. That wasn't good. I also don't like that this kind of protector grips to the floor when you crash, while an armour with plastic plates will slide. This thing gets stinky pretty fast, I have to wash it after every run. You can't throw the whole thing in the washing machine because of the D3O inserts and the plastic parts. Removing the inserts takes about 2 minutes, but putting them back is a pain in the behind and might take from 10 to 15 minutes.
Decent piece of protection, with great ventilation (as good as it can be on while body protection), and certified levels of protection for all its parts. Materials are also fine, and very pleasant to the skin. For me, 185cm and 70kg size M was ok. But off course it is not perfect, and the biggest issue I have is elbow protectors- they are designed to be on the wrong place, so they tend to protect outer part, but not the elbow itself. So maybe t-shirt version + separate elbows is a better option
