Ergon SR Tri Pro Carbon Women’s Front Triathlon Saddle
Product information "SR Tri Pro Carbon Women’s Front Triathlon Saddle"
The Ergon SR Tri Pro Carbon Women’s Triathlon Saddle is a lightweight racing model designed to deliver more power on the bike whilst reducing muscle fatigue before the run. Developed in collaboration with the world’s top athletes.
There are female cyclists who tend to place most of their weight on the front part of the saddle when in the aero position and therefore need a special shape to avoid painful muscle fatigue and maximise their performance.
Features – Ergon SR Tri Pro Carbon Women’s Front Saddle
- Ergonomically tailored to the female anatomy for various time trial positions
- Two variants: for weight distribution far forward on the saddle nose with a low upper body, or for a moderate time trial position with the centre of pressure in the middle of the saddle
- Super-light yet stiff carbon rails ensure reduced weight and direct power transfer
- Relieves pressure on the perineum and genital area
- Specially designed cushioning to maintain performance over long distances
- Reduces back fatigue and improves pedalling ergonomics
- A more dynamic sitting position makes the transition to running easier

Find your power position
Years of research as part of the Tri project have shown that not all triathletes are the same. Some riders put more weight on the centre of the saddle, whilst others sit on the front section. That is why the Ergon development team has devised the Power Position concept and designed a separate saddle for each riding position.
Relief for a forward sitting position
The V-shape of the SR Tri Men Front has been specifically developed for triathletes who tilt their pelvis further forwards in the aero position, thereby placing greater pressure on the front section of the saddle – a situation that requires specialised ergonomics for optimal relief.
Power to the Front!
The front position allows for a lower aero posture – the back is flatter, and the load is borne predominantly by the front section of the saddle. This results in correspondingly higher pressure in the genital area, which is relieved by the distinctive V-shape with its short and wide front section.
Developed with top triathletes
During the three-year development phase of the Tri project, Ergon’s experts analysed various riding positions among top triathletes. Jan Frodeno and Laura Philipp ride in the Power Position Mid, whilst Imogen Simmonds and Jan Stratmann ride in the Power Position Front.
Optimal adjustment with the BMR line
On all SR Tri saddles, the Biomechanical Reference Line (BMR line) is marked on the saddle surface. This indicates the saddle’s meridian – the point at which the saddle is exactly 75 millimetres wide. The BMR line serves as a reference point for correctly adjusting height, seating position and tilt, as well as ensuring the correct saddle-nose distance. In the Fittingbox Road too, the BMR line is a key reference point for precise adjustment.
Perfectly tailored padding
The SR Tri Men’s saddle pad is made from durable Orthopaedic Comfort Foam and is precisely tailored to the demands of long-duration triathlon riding. It is firm enough to prevent energy loss due to excessively soft padding, whilst at the same time offering sufficient cushioning to effectively reduce pain and strain.
More freedom, more speed
The ergonomically optimised V-shape design of the SR Tri Men Front has been specially developed to meet the demands of triathlon. With its short and wide front section, the saddle offers you maximum legroom without putting strain on the sensitive perineal area. The short saddle nose allows for micro-movements to ensure the best pressure distribution over long distances and enables optimal pedalling ergonomics. This effectively prevents fatigue in the back muscles and also relieves the muscle chains you need for running. That means: more power on the bike and a better start to the run!
Targeted relief against numbness and pain
During long rides in the aero position, the pressure on the sensitive perineal area remains very high for prolonged periods, thereby reducing the oxygen supply to the genital area. This can lead to numbness and, in the worst case, erectile dysfunction. The SR Tri Men is fitted with a particularly wide and deep relief channel, which guarantees effective pressure relief and thus reliably prevents discomfort.
