• No pain, no numbness - hand discomfort while cycling is widespread, especially on longer tours. With conventional, rather round or seemingly ergonomic grips, numbness in the fingers often occurs, as well as pain and irritation in the palm and wrists. Discomfort in the forearms and upper arms, as well as in the neck and shoulders, can also often be attributed to unsuitable grips. Permanent misalignments can cause pain, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. With the iconic GP1, Ergon has helped millions of cyclists enjoy a pain-free ride in more than 20 years.
• Nerv relief - While cycling, a significant amount of body weight rests on the hands that hold the handlebars. This results in intense pressure on a small area of the grip. This often constricts the extremely sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs close to the surface of the skin in the area of the ball of the little finger, causing unpleasant numbness. The wing shape of the GP1 Evo, which is perfectly adapted to the hand, effectively distributes the strong punctual pressure over a larger area and thus prevents discomfort.
• Ergonomic solution - When the wrist bends while cycling, nerves, tendons and blood vessels are compressed. This can lead to narrowing of the carpal tunnel and potential damage to the median nerve. The ergonomic wing design of the GP1 Evo supports the wrist in a gentle, straight position. This effectively prevents problems such as painful wrists, numbness in the fingers, tingling and carpal tunnel syndrome.
• Two sizes for individualized control - To effectively distribute pressure on the handlebars and prevent discomfort, it is important that the hand does not completely enclose the grip. For this reason, Ergon offers the GP1 Evo in the sizes "Small" and "Large". The main difference is in the grip width. That is, a thicker grip offers a better fit for a larger hand, while a thinner grip is more advantageous for a smaller hand - also for safety, because the optimal form fit also ensures the best control over the bike.

Free of harmful substances and SGS-certified
The unique LongLife rubber compounds in GP1 Evo meet maximum quality standards, are free of harmful substances and have SGS certification. They even meet German toy and food standards - a particularly important aspect for touring riders*, as their hands often have direct skin contact with the grips for hours without gloves. Two adapted hardness gradations of the grip rubber provide the best damping comfort.

Forged aluminum clamp for the perfect grip
Extremely safe and easy to mount: With just one screw, the handle is fixed to the handlebar and reliably protected against twisting. The high-quality, forged aluminum outer clamp allows a stepless, individual and ergonomically optimal adjustment of the wing angle. In the process, the screw of the slim clamp is located on the underside of the handle and thus out of sight while riding.

Precise laser textures for each grip area
In a technically perfected manufacturing process, the GP1 Evo features modern finishes that are perfectly adapted to the hand and the individual areas of the grip. The laser-applied textures are not only extremely precise, but also give the ergonomic palm a high-quality overall impression in addition to outstanding gripping comfort.

Inner core made of recycled plastic with glass fibers
The inner core plays a key role in the performance and comfort of the GP1 Evo. It provides stability, dampens vibrations and ensures that the grip sits comfortably in the hand without losing its ergonomic shape or being too compressed. In the new top-wing handle, the inner core is made of recycled plastic reinforced with glass fibers.

Seal of quality for a better quality of life
The GP1 Evo has received the "Recommended" award according to the "Froböse Formula". This scientifically based evaluation method was developed by the respected university professor, health expert and best-selling author Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse and serves as a seal of quality for products in the categories of exercise, nutrition and regeneration.
