Product information "GP1 Evo Single Twistshift grips TOP DEAL"

Ergon has made the best wing grip ever even better. The consistent further development of the GP1 stands for maximum hand comfort, optimum pressure distribution and the highest, pollutant-free material quality. With this Evo version of the multiple award-winning comfort original Ergon sets a new standard for ergonomic, pain-free cycling on touring and fitness bikes.

For the first time, design, development and production are "Made in Germany". This enables an even more targeted and sustainable realisation of the claim to deliver the highest quality down to the smallest detail.

Features - Ergon GP1 Evo Single Twistshift left

  • No pain, no numbness - hand discomfort when cycling is widespread, especially on longer tours. With conventional, rather round or seemingly ergonomic grips, numbness often occurs in the fingers as well as pain and irritation in the palm and wrists. Discomfort in the forearms and upper arms as well as in the neck and shoulders can also often be attributed to unsuitable handles. Permanent misalignments can cause pain, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. With the iconic GP1, Ergon has enabled millions of cyclists to enjoy a pain-free ride for more than 20 years.
  • Distributes the pressure, protects the nerves - While cycling, a considerable part of the body weight rests on the hands holding the handlebars. This leads to high pressure on a small area of the grip. The extremely sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs close to the surface of the skin in the area of the ball of the little finger, is often constricted, causing unpleasant feelings of numbness. The wing shape of the GP1 Evo, which is perfectly adapted to the hand, effectively distributes the high pressure over a larger area and thus prevents discomfort.
  • Straight wrist prevents discomfort - When the wrist bends while cycling, nerves, tendons and blood vessels are compressed. This can lead to a narrowing of the carpal tunnel and potential damage to the median nerve. The ergonomic wing design of the GP1 Evo supports the wrist in a gentle, straight position. This can effectively prevent problems such as painful wrists, numbness in the fingers, tingling and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Highest quality, short distances, more sustainability
Design, development, production - everything about the GP1 Evo is "Made in Germany". This guarantees the highest standards across all manufacturing processes: maximum product quality, short transport routes, fast delivery times and secure supply chains. By sourcing all raw materials from Germany and using almost exclusively recycled plastics, we also contribute to increased sustainability and produce virtually waste-free.

Free from harmful substances and SGS-certified
The unique LongLife rubber compounds in the GP1 Evo meet the highest quality standards, are free from harmful substances and are SGS-certified. They even fulfil the German toy and food standards - a particularly important aspect for touring riders, as their hands often have direct skin contact with the grips for hours without gloves. Two customised hardness gradations of the grip rubber ensure optimum damping comfort.

Forged aluminium clamp for the perfect grip
Extremely secure and easy to fit: The grip is fixed to the handlebars with just one screw and reliably protected against twisting. The high-quality, forged aluminium outer clamp enables infinitely variable, individual and ergonomically optimal adjustment of the wing angle. The screw of the slim clamp is located on the underside of the grip and therefore out of sight while riding.

Precise laser textures for every grip area
In a technically perfected manufacturing process, the GP1 Evo has modern surfaces that are perfectly adapted to the hand and the individual areas of the grip. The laser-applied textures are not only extremely precise, but also give the ergonomic hand flatterer a high-quality overall impression in addition to outstanding gripping comfort.

Inner core made from recycled plastic with glass fibres
The inner core plays a key role in the performance and comfort of the GP1 Evo. It provides stability, dampens vibrations and ensures that the grip sits comfortably in the hand without losing its ergonomic shape or being compressed too much. The inner core of the new top wing handle is made of recycled plastic reinforced with glass fibres.

Seal of quality for a better quality of life
The GP1 Evo has received the "Recommended" award according to the "Froböse Formula". This scientifically based evaluation method was developed by the respected university professor, health expert and bestselling author Prof Dr Ingo Froböse and serves as a seal of quality for products in the categories of exercise, nutrition and regeneration. The "Froböse Formula" acts as a signpost that contributes to increased quality of life, health and comfort, even when it comes to cycling.

From the original wing grip to the GP1 Evo
The Ergon GP1 has been the reference for bicycle wing grips for 20 years. Proven millions of times over, the global bestseller has been honoured with countless test wins and awards. But that wasn't enough for Ergon. They have continuously improved the original for touring and fitness riders in terms of function, materials and workmanship and are now setting a new milestone with the Evo version. More ergonomics is not possible.
