Ergon GDH Fat grips Slay Grey
Product information "GDH Fat grips Slay Grey"
The World Cup grip for particularly tough conditions. The ERGON GDH FAT is a variant of the successful downhill grip. Its asymmetrical shape ensures maximum cushioning for the palms.
Maximum control and minimum fatigue: the Ergon GDH Fat grip
The top of the grip features a significantly thicker layer of material than the area around the fingertips. This extra layer of GravityControl Rubber Compound absorbs vibrations and impacts even more effectively than the standard version. This makes the GDH FAT grips ideal not only for really tough rides and drops, but also for riders with larger-than-average hands who prefer a grip with a noticeably larger overall circumference.

Performance through experience
Ergon has combined its more than ten years’ experience from the GE1, GD1 Evo and GFR1 handlebar series with the expertise of four-time downhill world champion Vali Höll, professional athletes Troy Brosnan and Fabien Barel, and countless other riders to perfect every aspect and detail of the GDH. The result is the GDH FAT: an uncompromising downhill race grip offering maximum damping and a large grip circumference for all ambitious racers, right up to the world’s elite.
Asymmetrical for maximum damping
The material thickness between the palm and the handlebars has been optimised on the GDH FAT for maximum grip comfort, superior damping and a secure grip. The damping structure and material remain unchanged compared to the GDH (regular), but are significantly thicker in the palm areas. Impacts on the handlebars are softened, and vibrations are virtually eliminated. Cyclists with large hands often feel more connected to their bike with the FAT version of the Ergon GDH thanks to its larger overall circumference.
Internal clamp
Thanks to the high-strength aluminium internal clamp, the GDH grip cannot twist, even on carbon handlebars. For even greater safety on downhill rides.
Sturdy end plugs
The GDH FAT’s replaceable end plugs are exceptionally sturdy and protrude well beyond the grip body – helping to protect the rubber grip should things go wrong!
Extra-soft rubber compound
The GravityControl rubber compound used in the GDH FAT grip is the softest variant available from Ergon – for better vibration damping and optimum contact with the grip.
