The Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y) represents a new level of riding dynamics and agility in the e-bike segment. It is designed to be powerful, light and quiet - with a clear focus on maximum uphill flow and a natural, controlled riding experience.

Even in its standard state, the drive unit delivers a balanced triad of performance, efficiency and range with 85 Nm torque, 600 watts of power and 340 % support. The system is complemented by a low weight of just 2.8 kg - around 100 g lighter than its predecessor - and therefore optimised for both sporty and efficient use.

Bosch is significantly expanding this performance level with the new Performance Upgrade 2.0. From May 2026, the performance of the Drive Unit can be individually increased: more power, higher torque and a significantly increased support factor are available - directly controllable via the Bosch eBike Flow app.

The free software update enables a noticeable increase in performance for compatible systems. The maximum assistance increases to up to 600%, while the peak power of up to 750 watts remains available over a longer period of time. In addition, the riding modes can be customised - precisely tailored to the area of use and riding style.

The upgrade is most effective in the lower speed range and ensures particularly powerful acceleration from a standing start. The legally prescribed assistance limit of 25 km/h remains unchanged.

With the upgrade, the Performance Line CX achieves a maximum torque of up to 120 Nm, a motor output of up to 750 watts and an assistance output of up to 600%. This further sharpens the sporty character of the platform without losing control or the natural riding feel.

With the built-in "Dynamic Control", you ride with full control, even if you have increased your performance values. In steep, bumpy riding situations, you have superior propulsion and on loose or wet surfaces it is like traction control.

eMTB mode and Extended Boost
The eMTB mode reacts progressively to you and recognises how much power you want at lightning speed based on your pedal pressure - dynamically, with maximum traction and always in control. With the integrated Extended Boost, all it takes is a targeted kick on the pedal and the Drive Unit pushes you effortlessly over steps and stones.

Push assist and hill start assist
With the push assist, you can easily push your eMTB, while the Drive Unit automatically adjusts the pushing speed to the gradient and surface. In addition, the hill start assist enables a controlled and high-traction start, even on steep terrain. Hill Hold is active in both cases: Your eMTB stays in place and does not roll back unexpectedly.

Bosch eBike ABS Pro
ABS Pro is ideal for professional eBikers: designed for fast, sporty downhill riding and braking. You can fully utilise your braking skills and still feel how the system increases performance.

eShift with TRP
You can decide whether you want eShift with TRP to shift gears automatically for you or whether you want to change gears yourself on varied terrain with fast manoeuvres - simply at the touch of a button. With eShift, gear changes are efficient and precise.

PowerMore 250
Compact and weighing just 1.5 kilograms, the range extender can be easily attached to the water bottle holder. It can be combined with all batteries in the smart system. Please find out in advance whether you can use the range extender for your eBike.

eBike Lock - free additional protection against theft

Ideal addition - park your eBike. Enjoy time out.
eBike Lock is free of charge for all eBikes with the smart system. When you switch on your eBike, it automatically checks whether your smartphone is nearby as a digital key. Only then is the motor assistance enabled and your eBike unlocked.

Display as a key - use your Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 as a key
It's as intuitive as it sounds: you remove the display from the bracket and stow it away. This quickly gives your eBike additional protection. Put the display back in and use it to activate the motor support to set off.

Unlocking via smartphone - unlock eBike manually via smartphone
Instead of automatic unlocking, you can also unlock your eBike manually via smartphone using a button on the home screen.

Battery Lock - digitally lock the battery

Unleash more power for your eBike. The Performance Upgrade 2.0 not only provides better acceleration, but also stronger support. Software optimisations give you more powerful propulsion and make you faster for longer - with even more precise control. Maximum torque of up to 120 Nm per update. Deviations are possible depending on the type of shifting. Higher performance values can lead to increased wear and lower range. The eBike manufacturer can limit the maximum torque at the factory. Therefore, only the maximum value approved by the manufacturer can be set in the eBike Flow app.

Trick Check - More skills. More fun.
Improve your skills and analyse your performance: Trick Check automatically recognises and records the type of tricks you perform, whether jumps, stoppies, manuals or wheelies. To help you improve your riding technique, you receive direct feedback on the display and via an acoustic signal. During the ride, you can see the distance, duration, height or angle on your display for eight seconds. After the ride, you can find your best values in the eBike Flow app. The function is active as standard on your Kiox 400C and Purion 400. For all other displays, you can activate it at any time in the display settings and switch the signal tone on and off. The sensor system is set so that it only reacts to clear tricks.

The System Controller is the control unit for eBikes with the smart system, reduced to the essentials. The deliberately limited number of functions and information facilitates a quick overview and is not distracting while riding. The System Controller is seamlessly integrated into the top tube - this means that the already robust companion is additionally protected, is barely noticeable and is perfect for sporty tours and design-orientated eBike fans.

LED display
LEDs indicate the riding mode and battery charge level in 10% increments using different colors.

Connected in a smart system
The system controller makes your eBike smart and is the interface for software updates.

Built into the top tube
The System Controller is barely noticeable, is made of robust material and is therefore protected from knocks and scratches.

Bosch Mini Remote

As an additional operating unit, the Mini Remote supplements the System Controller, extends the range of functions and enables safe operation. It is connected to the System Controller via Bluetooth and can be flexibly mounted on the handlebars. The buttons near the thumb keep your hands on the handlebars at all times. More buttons offer more functions: With the Mini Remote, you get practical features such as smart push assistance and you can switch your eBike light on or off.

Like all Bosch PowerTubes, the PowerTube 600 / 800 is perfectly integrated into the frame. An attractive eBike design and high capacity - a combination without compromise. A new, lighter housing has been used for the battery. Provided the eBike manufacturer has prepared the eBike for this, it can be easily replaced - for more or less range.

Reliable energy supplier
High safety standards. Enormous mileage, long service life, reliable handling - the lithium-ion battery is equipped with a battery management system that protects the battery cells from overloading.

User-friendly handling
The PowerTube 600 / 800 is characterised by particularly easy handling. The battery is always securely anchored in the frame on all tours, removal is via an intuitive, lockable mechanism and offers you user-friendly operation.
