Product information "Phenix 240 C:62 SLX Teamline"

A really lightweight bike won't win races on its own. But it's a good starting point – and a lighter bike is more fun to ride, too. For the junior whippet in your family, the Phenix 240 C:62 SLX ticks all the right boxes. Its lightweight carbon frame and fork – perfectly proportioned for smaller riders – are just the beginning. CUBE chose light, tough Newmen Evolution X.A.25 wheels shod with Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.1in tyres for quick acceleration. CUBE powered them with Sram NX Eagle 1x11 gears. And CUBE added child-proportioned handlebars, grips and brake levers – connected to powerful Magura MT4 hydraulic discs – for perfect race day control, whatever the conditions. All that's left is to pedal... and win!

FRAME Cube Phenix 240 C:62 SLX teamline

We know from working with racers that they want a frame that's stiff, responsive and, above all, light. So these are exactly the qualities we built into our Phenix 240 C:62's lightweight carbon frame, but scaled down perfectly to fit younger riders. Every single detail of the frame design is aimed at reducing weight without sacrificing strength or stiffness. A tapered head tube, full carbon fork and 12mm thru-axles front and rear ensure precise steering and efficient power transfer. We kept the seatstays narrow for a comfortable ride, and cables are routed internally to match the frame's sleek looks. It's light, it's fast, and it's fun!

Please note that pedals are not included!

Technologies

C:62® Carbon Fibre Technology
Not all carbon is the same. In CUBE’s C:62® Carbon, the proportion of high-modulus fibres has been increased and the material has then been reinforced with finely dispersed nanoparticles incorporated into the binding resin system. In other words: this special material is extremely stable, lightweight and durable.

Internal Cable Routing
The cables connect the controls on the handlebars to the bike’s key components, such as the gears and brakes. But they should never get in your way when you’re riding! Thanks to our Internal Cable Routing, there’s no more cable clutter on the frame, meaning less maintenance. It also protects the cables running inside the frame from dirt, moisture, damage and abrasion. On top of that, it creates a beautifully clean look.

Agile Geometry
If you love riding off-road, you need a bike that’s responsive yet stable and safe – ideally one with CUBE Agile Ride Geometry. This gives you the perfect blend of maximum steering precision, excellent climbing performance and stability on the way down. The result: brilliant riding fun on all trails. What more could a mountain biker’s heart desire?

Advanced Twin Mold
CUBE’s Advanced Twin Mold process for the C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames uses two precision moulds. The first ensures a precise lay-up, whilst the second (the inner core) holds every single fibre in its intended position as the frame cures. The result is an incredibly light, stable chassis with fibre density optimally tailored to high-stress nodes.
